I'm surprised what didn't feature in this review of largely trivial matters is the fact that, like the much more beautiful DB11, the worst thing about the latest Aston Martins is the atrocious variation in panel seam spacing. You can't get a razor blade between the panel seams at the rear wheel arch while there are massive gaps at the front panel seams and where the boot lid meets the body. It's an AMG with Mercedes switchgear and a patchwork of poorly designed, hence fitting, panels by AM. And the internal door handles are Dutch Reach design for safety.

so bored of seeing supercars and million dollar crap. its boring man. ofcourse you can go for the moon with the budget these companies have. what i find most interesting is companies that do value for money crap and get creative with stretching a dollar. these are just. things most of us will never even see on the road in our lifetimes. remember when kids used to have lambo posters in their room? none of these multi million dollar supercars are as cool as those coutaches were back then.

I've been taught at the driving school to open the door with the opposite hand, while the hand nearest to the door holds the handle so that when you open it you have enough control of it and it wont just open by itself if other drivers are coming from behind. If this would be the standard in all cars, people would be more educated on how to open a car door safely.

So I'm going to go out on a Limb and say Doug went to Emory University, which would explain a lot. Emory is like the Harvard of the South. Between Vanderbilt University and Emory, they're both very Ivy Leauge-ish schools. Doug is the type of Guy that's a nerd lol in a good way. He looks like a cross between Brent Spinner from star trek and steve martin lol

Love your video's. I will admit to NEVER watching the score segment. You've just spent 20 minutes or more giving us your opinions on the car. I don't then need a score that really means nothing to me. I can see how it would be useful to you in remembering how the car effected you personally. But for me it's a pass.

Opening the doors with the hand that is the furthest from the handle is called dutch reach. As far as i know this is how the german driving schools teach to open the doors (I guess dutch as well. The idea is to look back while opening the door and avoid to knock out bike riders. Always found it smart

That left hand to open the door is apparently encouraged in many countries. Specifically the Netherlands (lots of cyclists, they are naturally taught to open the door with the hand not nearest to the door to encourage looking behind them to prevent opening on a cyclist.

The same lady inspected the engine of this car as the 2018 Vanquish S you tested. As for physical buttons: the US Navy has just announced that it is removing touch screens to go back to physical buttons. You can be pretty sure they have good reasons.
