Just wait for when things start to go wrong. You will be taking out a second morgage on your house before you know it. Ive had alot of cars in my time but the jaguar im currently stuck with is by far the worste car i have ever had the misfortune of owning. Its a glorified lawn ornament at this stage. 70, 000km on it. One owner car which cost near to 100, 000 dollars when purchased in 2000 and the list of things that have gone wrong/broken is absolutely ridiculous. Considering its rarely driven and always garaged ide still be lucky to get 5, 000 bucks if i sold it and thats on a good day. Im considering approaching jaguar about it but i doubt they will fix/compensate me for the poor build quality and items that should have seen the type s 3. 0 ltr series one recalled for repair one their coin. Dont buy one unless you like giving away money to a lost cause. Terrible

Couldnt agree more, have owned a 2011 XJ for 5 years. Way more of a performance sedan than people know, and I have had several AMGs. More comfy than an AMG but. not quite as composed when you really go batshit passing every Porsche on a rally. Mine rides good but alas it is only a 5. 0. It has been reliable, but the Jags before it were ok too. Of course the kabillion pound gorilla in the room is the fact most potential buyer dont think it looks like a Jag. I didnt want the car because of the looks, my far better half did. After driving it a lot I came to really like it, much like the original Q45. This car and the first Q45 really seem genetically linked.

Guys dont buy jaguars these cars have horrible electronics and extremely unreliable transmission Yeah these cars are beautiful but that's it They're are amongst some of the most unreliable cars ever made. Doug is a great guy but knows nothing about the mechanical side of cars. Its your money so if you want to buy go for it but dont expect it to last more that 100k miles without any serious/expensive repairs. Yall may not like my opinion but as a person whos been working on cars for 37 years i think i might now what im talking about.

So far I have had absolutely no needed repairs other than the water pump that the North Houston Jaguar dealer discovered while I had it in for a simple go over inspection. A small amount of of seepage was found by the technician. The car was still under warranty at the time so no charge to me. I recently replaced the main AGM battery by the dealer and that has been it. At this time I have 33, 000 miles and still very much enjoy every thing about the car. Especially in Dynamic Mode. Truly a bad ass car

I just bought a 2011 XJL 5. 0 Normally aspirated from the original owner and its flawless inside and out with 70k miles. I just waxed it and it looks like a brand new 2018 because the body styles haven't changed yet and no one really knows what year it is. My neighbors all look and people think its maybe a 60K+ car. Just got an extended warranty full bumper to bumper for 2K for another 60k miles and/or 6 years. Couldn't be happier.

Ugly and does not look like a Jag to begin with. This is a lot of money for an investment going south. Stay away from this one. I once drove a 3. 8S. Yeah, old fashioned but what a beauty. I see thses Jags around town and they do nothing for me. 35K has to give me some kind of buzz. Nothing here. Just money going down the drain. 3. 8S or 420G both beautiful cars. No beauty at all in Jag today.

Still have my 1995 4ltr sovereign. Once you get use to the size of the car it points into a corner with a positive feel at more speed than a normal sedan of the same size. Petal to the metal and power out of the corner with ease and grace floating on a cloud.

Depreciates like a two day old leftover pizza used as an ashtray because Jags have one of the worst reliability records. on record. The cars a JUNK Idiots who buy Jags have more money (or DEBT) than brains.
