I'm going to say that the drive mode dial is NOT bad design. You can use it without having to look at it. As an example, if I'm driving and want to switch to Snow mode, I can wrench that dial clockwise, knowing that it will go no further than the Snow mode. I don't have to take my eyes off the road. Another example, if I want to switch to Eco mode, I can crazy-twist it clockwise, stopping on Snow, then dial back one click, knowing that will be on Eco. Eyes remain on the road. If I want to be in Smart, just crazy-turn the dial counter-clock-wise. You know it won't go any further than Smart. I like it.

You are doing it all wrong buddy. When you grade any suv, you compare it to its segment. Ofcourse a big 3 row suv like this is going to accelerate slow or handle like a bus. It is not a car. Just compare it to its segment while grading it. Be a little smart about it. People buying these suvs know what they are getting into. What more they care is, how quiet it is, how bouncy it is, interior materials, road noise on bad roads, wind noise, cargo capacity, awd tech, technology, mpg and finally base warranty.

Great review. Two comments. The drive mode dial design is like that on purpose. So you can dial in a mode without looking. If you turn left a lot of clicks, youre sure youre in the last mode on the left and then dial up one, two, however many you need. If the dial went all the way around you would need to look at the dial to know where you were. As for the tires telling you how much work theyre doing. Can be useful in snowy or muddy conditions to know which tires are spinning more than others

Cars are commodities. Like an appliance. Like a washing machine. Doug makes some awesome reviews but getting into details like knobs and stitches is like someone explaining to me that my washing machine has luxurious push buttons. At the bottom of it, it is all so dumb. Pure marketing and gimmicks that will set you back 55K after taxes and registration.

2020 KIA Telluride EX has the worst headlights of any vehicle on the road. Drove my family in the mountains of Arizona and it was the worst experience ever at night. Driving with low beams and you basically have the power of a flashlight. We had to use the brights the entire time in order to not crash. These lights should be recalled.

I'd say intelligent user interaction gone into that dial - not bad dial design. The dial to select the drive mode probably stops on Sport and Snow so you can operate it without looking at it. You know its on sport when you turn it all the way to the left and maybe count from there.

Is it just me or were the blind spot videos on the wrong side when he turned on the blinkers? It seemed like when he turned on the L blinker it showed the right side of the car and when he turned on the R blinker it showed the left side of the car in the video

So question. Why do companies not have cameras that record your travels. For example, for insurance reasons. I think that the lane turning cameras would be a great way to show that you did not have fault when turning and having proof.

Amazing the number of nanny aids people seem to need today to be able to exist. And no, cameras and indicators DO NOT take the place of ACTUALLY LOOKING to make sure no one is in your blind spot, or your kids are buckled up.

Im a Toyota/Lexus guy but Im seriously impressed by Kia/Hyundai in the last couple years. Itd be interesting to see if they ever introduce a truck similar to the Tacoma and or Tundra - highly unlikely but would be interesting.
