The 2020 Audi R8 has been updated -- but it's still an amazing supercar. Today I'm reviewing the 2020 Audi R8 Decennium, and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of the R8. Then I'm going to drive the latest Audi R8 and tell you how it feels on the road

It may sound crazy but this would be a great car for my mother. She drives nice cars but her biggest complaint is always size. She had a couple Conti GTs that she loved but they were massive. She likes her car left out front and center when valet parked and (according to her) she halls ass, but she is 79 so everything is relative. The usability is well beyond most super cars and the fun factor is more than she's used to. I certainly can't afford one but she certainly can and like this better than the Tesla Roadster she is considering. I have some convincing to do. after reading this back to myself I now know I'm a rambling weirdo.

Kinda fun fact about the key warning in the vehicle. There was an accident here in Mexico some years ago where a rich kid died driving an Audi. The family sued Audi because according to them the car had a malfunction and turned off. The Audi engineers couldn't find a problem with the car in the computer. My brother in law told me that they suspect the kid was arguing with his GF and she just pulled off the key resulting in the death of the guy.

The reason the window rolls up a bit is to prevent it from rattling (and subsequent damage) when the door is shut closed. Cars with big windows have that problem, particularly coupes without a window frame. Most people I know that have such cars eventually end up not rolling down the window completely, or manually doing what this car does in order not to damage the glass or create play in the window lift mechanisms. Cheers

In this digital age. omitting a console mounted NAV screen is a mistake (IMHO. Driving a R8 you don't want to spend any time looking at the dash than necessary (e. g. speed/rpm/fuel remaining. Have an retracting 8 or 10 screen OLED. Or include a HUD. I'd opt for a R8 over ANY other sports car out there. It's Naturally Aspirated. Mid-engine. Etc. Better get one before Audi goes TT with the R8.

Its a great car, but Audi needs to reign in their stylists. The R8 and TT are design icons, but the latest versions are just too busy looking with the larger grilles and added vents. Same with those wheels. Bronze on a black car looks amazing but those are a bit much. The side reflectors also look so tacked on, for that kind of money Audi can better integrate those.

Im feeling there is some funny business with your scoring Doug. The 2017 R8 v10 Plus review you did in Aug 2017 you gave he car a Doug score of 71; here you drop it down to 69. You also have it listed against some garbage cars and a minivan (06 RR, Cadillac ELR & R63AMG. a minivan? really) Whats up?

7: 57, I feel that the simplistic climate control is how a lot of economy (and 1990's & early 2000's) cars are. It's a No BS system that's easy and QUICK to adjust. There's no clicking 25 times to go from 85F to 60F nor more than 2 seconds to make that adjustment.

I always thought those child anchor things were ejection seats like a jet would have when I was a kid. My parents went along with it and said it wasnt working when I pulled on it. I was so disappointed too. I wasnt a smart child

Windows Quirk: i lifts it up a bit because the window is Frameless and is held on the inside. If the window would stay down there is a chance of it falling off the inner frame when you close the door way too hard.
