The Jaguar XJ220 is the craziest 1990s supercar. Today I'm reviewing the Jaguar XJ220 to show you why it's so special and unique -- and why it was so crazy. I'm going to show you all around the XJ220, and then I'm going to take it out on the road and drive the Jaguar XJ220 supercar

Need For Speed, playstation 1 baby. You know you played it Doug. Also I thought I remember the 217 top speed was caused by the angle and curve of the test track they had it on, they said it theoretically shaved 3 mph off the top speed. It was a track in Italy if I'm not mistaken. One of the largest in Europe, well it has the highest potential speeds that can be obtained because it was built for it, but it still is curved, even though its slight.

The wing mirrors thing is kind of interesting, although my guess is the motive is the other way round, i. e. the drivers side mirror was supposed to be on the door as per the passenger side one and typical, however with those gauges on the door there was no space for the electrical tilt mechanism and mounting for the mirror, so they moved it forward, then as you say, they couldn't match the passenger side as the A-pillar is in the way.

as a kid born in 1980 who loved cars, there was certain things I will always remember, like the xj220, the nissan r390. and than the toyota GT-ONE. the first impreza wrx vs lancer evo cars to hit the u. s market, the dynasties of the japanese sports cars (supra, rx-7, nsx, 3000GT) the civics race to hit 9 seconds in the quarter mile. I remember this car fondly.

Problem with jaguar is it got sold to just about every car company at one point or another. I owned a few, getting parts is almost IMPOSSIBLE some times depending on what year you own as different companies used different parts. Not to mention the hassle to take them in as some times you have to goto Ford, VW, Blah blah list goes on.

84. Doug says Xj220 84 times. I'm confident that this count is correct, but I might of missed 2 only, doubt it. However is it so important how many times Doug says Xj220. When something is so cool we like to repeat what it is so many times. Please people stand down and let Doug do his job. He is doing it well.

I dare someone to count how many times he says XJ220 and not end up dressed in a clown suit at the top of a building with snipers rifle. I know the YouTube bots promote vids that say what they're about but is there really any need to say XJ220 - 2, 220 times in a 30 min video?

I wonder if there's an unsolved serial murder case where all of the victims said Jagwar once too often. Doug - if you can pronounce it correctly when you're reading the spelled out name at the rear, you can pronounce it properly the rest of the time. You're just being willful

Thanks Doug for this video, the XJ220 was my childhood dream car too. I was given the 1/64 Matchbox replica in metalic blue for my birthday and I felt in love with it immediately. I'm not sure I would like to own one today but this is still a gorgeous car.

Back in the nineties, I was working near to Brown's Lane and driving a beaten up old Ford granada. One day I went around a corner a bit too fast and nearly hit an XJ220 head on It was one of the unsold cars being test driven from the factory.

Engine from a metro 6R4. Rear lights, upside down from a mkII Rover 800. Not rare. 280. Gorgeous landmark car though. Saw a caterham 21 yesterday. One of 14. Thats rare. Xj220 twr? One of a very low number. Might be worth you checking one out.
