The 2019 Lexus LX570 is a 95, 000 luxury SUV -- and also a disappointment. Today I'm reviewing the LX570 to show you why it could be better, and why I prefer its rivals. I'm going to show you around the LX570, and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of Lexus's SUV -- then I'm going to drive it

You people really think it's worth to buy this car for almost 100k because it is reliable and will last you a lifetime. Well, yeah that probably is true BUTpeople who can afford this car at this price range aren't type of people who would be worrying about the cost to fix a car, and most of nowadays cars are similar in terms of reliability. First, if a person decided to spend 100k on a car, there's a rare chance they are looking for a longggg reliability or will be riding the same car for the next 10 years. Car priced at 100k have all the new fancy technology combined luxury features and options that keeps developing over time. People get attracted with these newly designed options and designs and end up investing 100k on a car that seems to catch their eyes. These people with 100k spending on car will most likely going to be buying a new car after couple years, searching for another luxury well around 100k car. If someone really wanted to find a reliable long run car, they'd go for a toyota without updating features and options. I'm not saying there's few people out there wanting reliability and luxury at the same time and will be riding a same car for over couple years, but the point of these cars priced at over 100k are well more than just the reliability. Their niche, their goal is to make fancy luxurious styling and features, rather than making a car go run for over 10 years. Well, not trying to disgrace y'all as I'm in the same boat, but to the customers of this car, it's not like how we think BMW just cost me 1500 for broken door sensor UGH MY LIFE and Oh Lexus runs forever without a fix I love saving money In this sense, Lexus's reliability plays a lot less role in luxury vehicles, and loses toward all the other luxurious vehicles priced similarly.

Doug - I completely agree with you about the Lexus Remote Touch interface for the infotainment system. It's TERRIBLE I purchased a Certified Pre-owned 2015 GS 350 AWD F-Sport 6 months ago and I'm STILL trying to figure out how to use it with finesse and not go off the road because of how distracting it is. BUT HEY FOLKS - HEADS UP For those who never figured this out, you can simply push the talk button on the steering wheel, which shows a dude's side profile with sound waves in front of his face, and speak out loud Navigation, and then after prompted, Address, and the voice asks for your address. You then simply speak the full address. In about 15 seconds she comes back with the address you spoke asking for you to confirm. You say Yes and she sets up your route. For real By trying to do all that manually you MUST stop the car. With the Voice Command button method, you can do it while driving forward. Just don't slide into reverse, though, after you've started to answer prompts as you'll lose your momentum with the voice command and have to start over again once moving forward. The rotary knob setup in my wife's 2019 Mazda CX-5 is far superior in it's ease of use, and can also set your route via voice command when moving forward, though it still has it's frustrating tendencies like any system does.

Wow this guy is obsessed with digital screens and buttons. The reason why these cars are so reliable is because they don't use them. If you want technology, get a German brand although there is high chance that it'll be spending more time in the dealer getting fixed than you driving it. Not everybody wants their cars to be filled with all the bells and whistles. Some people buy these cars because they don't want all that. This is where the Japanese brands come into play, and thus is one of the reasons why they sell so well. I know it's a matter of preference, but this guy conveys a message saying that cars that don't have digital screens and the latest technology are worthless. This is a biased review with a hint of badge snobbery especially watching his other videos. Get a him a German/European car, then he compliments the hell out of them. Get him a Japanese/Asian car, then he bashes them. Sorry, but this is a very biased, self-opinionated review. This is just my opinion, but there are far better reviewers out there especially if seeking for advice.

Just as you're disappointed with the LX, I'm disappointed in this review. I hear you keep mentioning Audi's systems but Audi doesn't make a large luxury SUV (yet. Perhaps compare it with models that are large luxury SUVs like the QX, Armada, Escalade, Navigator, etc. I prefer a fixed gauge cluster which is why I kept my 2016 X5 than going for the 2018, I can't stand the screen gauge cluster regardless of price, but that's just personal preference. The important part of the gauge cluster is is it clear, visible, useable, and accurate? This SUV has a very large presence on the road with luxury amenities that Toyota is comfortable to offer due to their reliability reputation. This review just seemed that you weren't really into learning the car and you were leaning into your own personal bias preferences in wanting the styling and feature ques that were specific to other cars instead of reviewing it as it is, a large Lexus luxury SUV that offers everything that a Lexus/Toyota owner is looking for.

In other videos he says that company has maintained the originality by keeping the analogue gauge on dashboard and on other hand he says that it is useless or out of time and it is same for gear lever it is not just fair enough for guys like you to discriminate any brand or car like that company, engineers, developers, designers and all other people who were are working hard on it. For people like you it's easy to put cameras and speak rubbish on it for god sake just stop it or else just appreciate the hard work of the people who are working hard for it. It is easy job for anyone to just take camera and make fun of their mistakes we understand that you have the right and the ability to tell people what is good and what is waste of money but be generous to those who have worked hard. For some money don't just make anyone low or bad people follow you to get right info on car they want to buy don't let them down. One of your follower.

Doug has NO idea what the Lexus LX is built for. Its not meant to be a sporty modern day run of the mill SUV. It stays true to its origins reliability. smoothness. quiet and non worrier. People who buy these feel very comfortable when they walkout to their garage and put the key in. no matter the weather. the terrain or destination. This is not meant to be a fast race-you-tothe-next-light SUV. Thats actually what the smaller GX is for. The LX is for more Mature. Take-the-family on road trips at normal speed and cruising levels. And not for the young immature hot heads who think everything should do 100 in 2 secs. Respect the vehicle for what it is. Dont bash it for you think it should be. And feul economy is a non issue for anyone soending over 90k on ANY vehicle. Thats like asking Lambo to make a hybrid URUS to get better fuel economy. ridiculous argument to make for a luxury reliable SUV such as this. smh

Doug can you do review its brother Infiniti QX80. There using 2011 dinosaur design, just made the front look good in 2018 which is what it should have looked like in the first place. Its not a redesign just a facelift. Also old interior gauges clusters, infotainment, ride quality, 3rd row leg room, no panoramic sunroof, tiny outdated navigation screen, old cabin design, 2nd row seats dont slide to create more room in 3rd row. its shit compare to the Navigator and Range Rover. They need to schooled on why they need to update it. Ive owned Infinitis since 1992 starting with the q45 sedan to the qx56 and I love them. They need a wake up call as it needs a complete overhaul not just a face adjustment.

Used to have lot of respect for Lexus because they built to last but at this price they need to do more than making it last long. I can't afford it but people who buys expensive cars or trucks don't really care how long they last. They want comfort and they want modern new technologies. I test drove this and I was disappointed. The second row is kind of small for it's size, it rides like a boat that isn't too stable and ride wasn't even that smooth either. Felt all the bumps along the way. They need to step things up with this one and other models as well.

Damn Doug I disagree with you. Why do you think Range Rover or Audi values drop faster than a brand new cell phone without a case on it? While the Lexus will hold its value. Fixed dials in the gauge cluster are only out if they are cheap looking. The Lexus gauges look like a nice high end analog watch. Where as the digital gauges are nice admittedly, but are more like an Apple Watch. But I know some people are into the Yo dawg I heard you like screens so we put a navigation screen where yo alternator used to be.

whatever negative things you try to say Doug, this will surely beat your Land Rover in almost every aspect. May not have the oppulence or modern design that your Land Rover has but sure beats it in reliability and dependability. There is a reason why this vehicle is bought considering all the negative things you can say and that boils down to brand quality. dont even get me started with your Land Rover air suspension and electrical faults that flashes like Christmas tree when things start to get ugly.
