NORTH COUNTY FORD The 2020 Ford Explorer ST is a fun family SUV -- and today I'm going to review it to show you around the new Explorer. I'm going to take you on a tour of the new 2020 Explorer, and then I'm going to drive the new Ford Explorer ST to show you how it handles the road

Doug, can you review the 2020 Dodge Durango SRT or R/T in comparison to this? While the Explorer ST is a sleek looking nice SUV, the Durango is quite a bit more capable with towing. The SRT does 0-60 in 4. 6 seconds. That beats the crap out of this Ford Explorer ST. But these fast SUV's seem silly to me considering you can get a faster car that handles a lot better and probably is quite a bit cheaper. The nice thing about the Durango is it's pretty fast but also is actually a serious towing machine. I can't imagine buying an expensive SUV because it's fast. Maybe an X5 M Competition because it's damn near like an actual car, but that's a whole new ballgame. That said, I really think the American SUV's are way better looking than the Japanese options these days. That's a pretty slick looking SUV to cost in the same range as the freaking Honda Pilot.

So you say it only has one usb port in the rear, but then you flip open the cover and there is a usb c port and a usb a port. You did use the word traditional sure, but usb c is the new usb standard. My most recent phone came with a c to c cable and I sure as heck would be fine with that in my back seat. I'd be very interested to know what wattage that port would be able to charge at actually. Instead you glossed over it and framed it as a drawback that was only overcome by the addition of the 110v standard power port. I love your videos but part of what I love is that you show ALL the quirks and features. That usb c port is a quirky feature for most cars out on the market.

I bought a brand new Ford Explorer 2015 Limited and it first went into the shop at week 2. By the year 2, it was in the shop a total of 6 months on 6 different occations. At year 2, 3 more problems came up and I traded it in for a Toyota HIghlander and at year 2 for the Highlander, it has only been to the shop for oil and regular checkups. Never buy another Ford SUV again.

While I was never a really big Ford fan, I must say that Ford is stepping up its game. There seems to be no doubt that Ford is in the competition fray and for the money, you get a lot of bang for your buck. No, it is not a BMW. Mercedes or Audi, but then, those vehicles cost much, much more.

No comment on drivetrain? The one thing I dislike most about my 2013 Explorer is the front wheel drive. They finally returned to rear wheel drive. That is worth mentioning in your review, not so much the cord cutout on the center flip door in the console. That isn't new, my 2013 has it.

Pilot does 0-60 in 6. 2 seconds. So 120 hp more for 0. 7 seconds faster to 60. was expecting more. Ford is only 375 pounds heavier too, (weight of about 2 american adults) I like the explorer a lot more than the pilot, but was expecting 0-60 in like 4. 8 seconds for 400 hp and 415 tq

The plug in hybrid is Europe only at this time although a basic hybrid is available in the US (not as powerful as the plug in or the ST. The plug in has more HP and torque and overall but is 400+ pounds heavier so it wont be quicker, or as good handling.

Love how all these USA SUVs copy so much from Land Rover. Even the decals on the bonnet. to the rotary gear selects. Land Rover / Range Rover is the real deal. These things look the part, but the off road tech is poor. Buy original; buy LR.

Still not as good as my Durango R/T. Doesn't show any bit of better mpg, can't tow more, interior looks terrible and the front led lights are hideous, plus the rear end looks bad aswell. Loved passing one of these on my way to work.
