G-day Mighty Car Mods/ sincerely Moog. I come from a family of gear heads. Here is a suggestion for a formidable opponent against this sooby-doo besides the fact you have probably already raced against it with something i have still yet to watch. i wish to propose an idea. My father has done a build on a 94 BMW 2door 318is 5speed manual he wishes to put it on the developing drag track in north QLD once it is done. So i suggest to u the build, so then you two can build one of your own. I guarantee alot of fun. Its a standard BMWis motor and keeps with all the specks of standard e36, besides these modds: a potato turbo done by SVS in cairns, it had to have a HSV injector relay system hooked up to it. In order for the turbo to run efficiently. A couple of other tweaks done to the standard motor, this tripled the kilowatt power from i believe around 80 to 90 kw at the time, then it produced 307 kw at the rear. Dad added a locker to the diff then a sports clutch to the gear box. Once the car was run-in dad took what i call the black beast back in, then SVS tuned it. now its producing i believe to be 315kw its a bloody little rocket. dad almost lost his rear diff at one stage after the diff got locked because the power was then transferred to both wheels, as u would know. It pretty much rolled the diff on the spot an almost out. dad was just lucky he has good/decent driving knowledge driving and owning 3 GT XY and yess he only ever owned legit xys, no xws. He also did up a Turana i cant rember wich one but he has photos of all his Darwin backyard projects. He was a road-train driver so he felt the diff disconnect and pretty-much prevented massive damage. He had to get a qualified welder to make some stronger mounts for the diff to sit so it couldn't have a possibility for it to roll out again. So if you two wish or haven't done this already. My fellow grease monkeys i wish and hope you two can take this build into your test books and have fun. i too wish to try this duo with my best mate once we can afford the builds but i would like to see what happens prier.

they always say its vastly more fun to drove a slow car fast than it is to drove a fast car slow.
