Diff control should be towards the rear as much as possible to allow turn in and then power out making the car turn by pushing more from the rear giving a yaw affect. You need very little power to the front wheels on a track. More to the front will give you understeer when powering out

Marty I don't have a gc8 I have a blobeye but when I find if I fish tale in and stay full throttle on full boost my car grips up kind of like a gokart and as long as I don't change throttle position it dosnt very. Might be worth a try in a gc8?

For the sti, give the front a bit more camber than the rear. A bit toe out on the front and a bit toe in at the rear. Then put the swaybar in the front a setting softer or the rear a bit harder. That will help alot with the understeer

I'm not sure if you're already doing this Marty but try to curb the understeer with a little but of left foot braking, it sits some of the weight on the front wheels to get it to grip. Still probably a better driver than me though

Just call the BRZ breezy. Because it has as much power as a soft gust of wind.
Marty, brake hard early then get completely off them. Also, steer less.
Also, you both need bucket seats.

Might want to consider an oil cooler. Using a Bluetooth OBD2 reader I was watching my oil temps and they were getting up to 120 degrees at that track. (I drive a Toyota 86)

Lower the pressure in the font tires of the STI(for les under steer)
And sometimes u can regain grip by accelerating a little bit

Sounds like you got that kind of performance with the traction control of vehicle stability still on in sport mode. Probably wild with it fully disabled.
