Looking to buy a new car. Worried about GDI and turbos as far as life of the engine and reliability. Trade in value after five years and reliability if i keep it longer is a factor. Looking at the 25K range. I commute about 12K a year currently. I need some acceleration because I often have to merge quickly due to the poor planning out here of merge lanes, as well sprint past bad truckers in big rigs that barely hold their lane. Looking at the Corrola hatch, with no turbo or gdi, but also the Civic Coupe and Elantra N Line hatch which have both. Hyundai has that long warranty. Advice?

To save thousands, take a can of WD-40, spray it on all four tires after you aim your car downward in the direction of the guard rail on a steep curving roadway bordered by a cliff. Then gun the engine and bail out. The WD-40 will reduce friction on the tires as it heads to and over the guard rail. The final touch to get ridding of your money pit car. Make sure your collision insurance is current.

Water Displacement, Yep Just ask ANY old guy that has ever owned a Slant-6 Dodge. The distributor was mounted way down low on the side of the engine right next to the suspension of the front wheel. EVERY puddle, splash-stop-n-spray It was great on date night.

WD40 is highly flammable without the straw inserted into the nozzle. As a kid I used to use a lighter and make a blow torch with it. I assume its because its more of a liquid with the straw in it as opposed to an aerosol without the straw.

Had a squeaky door hinge. Sprayed with WD40 Silicone spray. Noise went away for about a week. Tried regular WD. Noise went away for about a month. Rubbed a little synthetic motor oil on the section that was rubbing 6 months ago. No squeaks.

I wonder if it's the same stuff here in Canada. Most technitions and Mechanic's wont touch the stuff. Its refers to as canned water. I have seen metal myself sprayed with WD 40 rust because of the wd 40.

Seems this saving of thousands works mostly in '94 celicas as apparently every car that rolls out the production line nowdays is unreliable n not DIY friendly. just like the modern day governments

Hello Scotty. Can I spray WD40 into motorcycle exposed switches, such as turn signal and kill switch? Will it harm the switch? I want to drive out moisture periodically. Thanks
