The main problem here is that F-150 in 4WD low will easily exceed even the best wheel friction. However, if we make friction infinite all one has to do to tie is hit the brakes & hope they are strong enough or overbuild them. Better test is to tie to both trucks a very heavy weight and see which can pull more without breaking. Now you can make friction very, very high with special surface to see which can pull more. This should be easy win for F-150 in 4WD low locked diff as long as nothing in the gearbox blows - for the record cybertruck has 1, 356 Nm of torque and raptor has 691 - with LOW setting that is at least 1872 Nm - or more if the ratio is higher. Thus F-150 has at least 33% advantage in torque.

Not sure what the obsession with towing performance is on the light duty trucks. People buying these won't be making 1000 mile trips with a 15 thousand pound camper - that's a super duty truck territory. More likely that they'll be towing two jetskis and the truck will have no problem with that kind of stuff. The three motor version has a 500 mile range. If it's 250-300 with towing 7500 pounds or something, I'm sure people will get by. If someone buys the single motor truck and uses it to tow 25000 pounds of hay bales, they'll look just about as dumb as the people who do that with an ecoboost f150.

I owned a truck once. It's great to have when you need it, for me that's 2 or 3 times a year. It was cool but didn't make sense for me and then everyone is asking for help moving because you have a truck. I since got an unreal deal on a Lexus is300 and I can afford to simply rent a truck when I truly need it. It would be sweet to rent a Cybertruck for a weekend camping trip.

Scotty, You are wrong about Dealers Having to fix a Recall. I have been trying to get Chevrolet to replace my defective Air Bags since the first recall and they have never been fixed. And they have told me every lie and excuse you can imagine while I have the Recall Notice in hand. In short, Dealers are Crooks and I still have defective Air Bags in spite of the Recall.

Scotty makes a good point, but I dont think the video was demonstrating who is more powerful. Anything can be engineered to be more powerful then another with the proper resources. However I think Tesla was making a statement of price vs performance. The Tesla is priced competitively to Ford f series trucks and can out perform most entry and medium tier trims.

I thought the same thing about the all wheel drive vs a rear wheel drive. Also. Where are the side mirrors on that Tesla? Electric cars are great fully charged. for about the first 30 minutes. If you keep getting on the throttle. every time you hit it, it goes slower and slower. It's just a glorified golf cart. I'll stick with my V8.

The Tesla is heavier, even if the F-150 has 4WD the Tesla is still going to win; the Tesla has more weight on driven axles, plus enough torque to break traction plus exquisite electronic control of antispin. Heck, even if they weighed the same, the Tesla would win. This isn't something Ford can win.

The Mythbusters used two tanks to rip apart a phone book. The looney left fails to realize their electric cars need to be recharged with electricity generated by a coal-fired or nuclear power plant. The more electric cars, the more electricity must be generated. We need common sense electricity laws.
