I Should Have Done This to My Car Years Ago Paul Costache: That car looks like it needs to at least consider a visit to the scrapyard, even just a quick one. Might like it there and decide to stay. It most likely makes much more financial sense to replace it rather than keep pouring money into it. Just inevitable regardless of sentimental value or affordability to replace it.

My buddy finally replaced the struts on his Mercedes GL 350 BlueTEC the airsprings leaked and burned out the compressor all the leveling sensors went bad on the air ride after replacing all of it he had to take it to the Mercedes stealership and have them fix the computer then that leaked again so he switched to the coil over struts second owner 89000 miles 22, 000 plus another 6, 000 to fix the suspension he also had to replace the ignition switch that cost 900 all within the first eight months after he bought it

Following Scotty's directions, I did replace the brake lights and the outside lights with led bulbs. Had the usual problem with headlight plastic going bad and replaced the bulbs with leds. I worked for a partnership when the Mercedes 300 came out. The two guys bought new ones to impress the clients. However, the secretaries were always taking them to the non-dealer repair shop or picking them up.

Hey scotty i have a 1998 honda civic with the automatic transmission, i have a problem which is when i'm going downhill with a speed of 40mph i put it into 3rd gear to engine brake, and then after a while the check engine light turns on and i hear a whistling noise comming out of the engine when the car is moving, although the engine doesn't exceed 3000rpm when i put it into 3rd gear

Hey Scotty I've got a crappy 62plate Fiat Punto easy with 71 thousand miles on and it judders when driving at low speeds and even more so when I lift off the accelerator. I've had it serviced and looked at but no mechanic can find anything wrong with it. Any tips. I know it's a fiat and they are rubbish but it's what I have unfortunately haha

Had a hatchback in my highschool days. Never did replace the struts on the hatch; just carried a pair of vicegrip locking pliers and locked the jaw onto the shaft of the strut to hold it up; worked like a charm. 20 years later still carry the old lockgrip pliers around in my new truck. old habits die hard.

Two times I had the burning smell, it seemed to be electrical, but it was hot front brakes in both cases, two different vehicles. I felt the hubs, the hot ones were the culprits. The rubber brake lines had swelled, acted like check valves. Both times, I replaced both sides. Problem solved, world saved.
