Heres Why this Toyota is the Worst SUV to Buy Carl: Wrong if you're a Uber/Lyft drive doing XL. The savings are immense from 19 mpg avg for regular XLs due to idling to 27 mpg to 29 avg for the hybrid. Newer highlander hybrids with AWD have a pure electric rear motor and not a differential so that issue is gone. Scotty, I do like that you promote Toyota, but your bias is clouding your judgement. You literally found one issue on an older AWD highlander hybrid to confirm your bias but you didn't actually do any research on Toyota forums where you can clearly see the incredible reliability of hybrids especially the ones post 2015 for Prius and post 2012 for highlander hybrids. Yes if you do alot of highway driving, then it's not worth it the premium. However, it's literally the King of uber/lyft in terms of overall profitability.

Scotty, or anyone who is willing to reply, I have a question. I see a 2002 honda civic LX with 155k miles for sale for 2000(manual transmission, no vtec. I know generally speaking hondas or reliable but however i know that the 2001 civics were notorious for being unreliable and having leaks and what not. Are there any problems with that car? Guy says no leaks and just had tune up done. I currently own a 2001 toyota corolla LE but my sister car got totaled so my dad said he would help me get a new (new to me) car and give her the corolla or help her get a new one. I saw this as an opportunity to both get a new car and learn to drive manual. Of course I know i have to see for myself and what not but from what info i have right now, what do you think?

Hey Scotty, I have a 2015 mustang ecoboost premium (6-speed automatic) with the performance pack, 59k miles. I bought it in 2015 from a lady who put 3k miles on it, didnt like it because it wasnt easy for her to get in and out. I change the oil every 5k miles, at 30k miles I got the injection cleaning done, at 50k miles I got the brake hoses flushed out. So far the only problem I had with it is that I needed 4 new spark plugs at 58k miles, and new fuel pressor sensor at 55k miles. I dont drive it like a maniac, what is your experience with this engine and car overall? What should I expect, How does it hold up? Its been out for 5 years so I hope you have some personal experience, it would help a lot of the mustang fans outThank you in advance Gabor

I got a question? I drive a 1995 Ford F-150 xl crew cab and after it rained one day my transmission is having problems. It will not go into 4th or higher gear anymore. I believe it to be a solenoid in the transmission. Engine is still really good condition. Hopefully just a solenoid is out. The transmission fought to go in gear when I changed gears in reverse in the rain. Turned off car for a second and started up right after that the truck shifted really good. I noticed the other day there is a massive power draw when I put truck transmission in reverse. Can I get any suggestions. The truck only has 167k miles and was hoping to keep it?

I would never get a hybrid either, whether if it is a sedan or a crossover. Instead, I would get a 2006 Ford Expedition XLT 4x4 large SUV with the 5. 4 L Triton V8 engine, which produces 300 horsepower and the regular four-speed automatic transmission. I have checked out the all-new, 2020 Lincoln Corsair crossover with the 2 L four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which produces 250 horsepower and the eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the uglier MKC. It is fuel-efficient, it has standard AWD and it is powerful enough to accelerate. There is no need to go for the 2. 3 L four-cylinder turbo BTW.

2008 Highlander Limited with 60k babied miles here. Got it four years ago with 12, 000 miles. Love it. But I'm only getting 15 mpg. Must be the waiting in line idle for 30 mins everyday at the school to pick up my kid. I had a Subaru outback for 13 years before that with a four-cylinder engine and this Highlander is a completely different level both in terms of luxury and power. I certainly enjoy being stuck in traffic a whole lot more than I used to. My Dad tried to outdo my deal by getting a perfect 2005 Lexus RX330. but I actually like my car better.

Even though this video is not about Fiat I wanted to leave a comment. I have a Fiat 500 Abarth with 64000 miles. The car is very fun to drive and is my daily driver. I have had no problems with it in fact many people online have now gone over 100, 000 miles with Fiat 500's with no problems. Just wanted to mention this because Fiat is always brought up on your video's. Their is many other worse vehicles in my opinion. Kia, Hyundai and Chevy is much worse. I like your show very much and have learned alot from your video's. Keep up the great work. Thanks

It's primarily government, safety & CAFE type of requirements that're driving almost everyone to build MUCH more complex vehicles than before, isn't it? By complex, I mean either unreliable, expensive to fix for even moderate items, or the worst of both worlds. We're basically reliving the 1970s right now aren't we? But with notorious exception to the technology around us in general & making vehicles plenty powerful isn't as huge of a problem as back then (slap a turbo, twin turbo, supercharger, or hybrid at it if it's slow.

Really depends on what you want. If you are a fanatic of gas mileage where every MPG matters, then go for the Hydrid. But in the long run, if you want to get years out of your car, just get the normal 3. 5 V6. My family has the 3. 5 V6 Highlander, drives like new everyday, takes a beating from the kids, yet it still goes. In my opinion, does getting a couple few MPG more really justify the planned obsolescence and complexity problems that you will eventually encounter with the Hybrid?
