hey Scotty, I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado sometimes it will not start because of the passlock system and I have too wait about 10 min before it will start. what do you think could be causeing this problem and how could I fix it? the truck still runs great I have about 160 thousand miles on it. and it is a 4 cyc. engine I just worry I will get out and park it and not be able to get back home with it. if it will keep going another year I am going to get another truck, then. but for now I am keeping my eye out for a used Ranger or Toyota pick up.

Word of caution. when you start your vehicle, (1: 25 in the video) make sure you don't have your TOOLS on top of the engine, like the pair of needle nose pliars with the red handles that almost fell off. If they fall off into the belt or pulleys and it just happens to land just right, oh man, now you got a damaged pair of pliars and probably will have damage to a pulley and that belt. In other words, DONT DO what Scotty did. He knows better And I bet he would say so.

Rads do that when there is stop leak in the Coolent. I remember my car would drop a gallon of Coolent periodically. I remember filling the cooling system warming it up and nothing. I looked for 20 minutes and slammed the hood in frustration. By the time I walked to the front door of my apartment there was a big puddle under the radiator. Was clogged also and would overheat sometimes during summer stopped at a red light.

I hate chevy's because all their cars put the reverse lights or back up lights on when they get out of the car and hit the lock button. .. I will be trying to leave the gas station and I stop thinking the chevy is in reverse, trying to back up. .. it makes me angry at whoever designed chevy that way. IT IS THE ONLY CAR COMPANY I HAVE SEEN DO THIS.

GM needs to watch videos of their trucks commercial from the mid 80s & 90s and get inspired and make great vehicles again. I think they went downhill when they found out they were putting more money in their vehicles then the other manufacturers. Now they want to make stylish plastic crap over quality.

You know what Scotty? I was battling with a coolant loss issue in my vehicle for over 2 months. I finally replaced my water pump which resolved my issue Your video was one week too late to help me, but hope someone else learns that an almost undetectable leak can be the water pump Thanks for the video

The bolts are different lengths so be mindful of where they were removed. Some aftermarket pumps come with new bolts that are different than original. No torquing bolts? Wouldn't it be wise to replace with oem thermostat since you're basically right there. Potential to save customer money in long run.

Hey Scotty I thought you were a seasoned mechanic? What the hell is going on at 2: 20? Didn't anyone else see that amateur mistake? If I was the customer, I'd be very pissed off when my car gets scratched by all those keys Geez how can you not pay attention to something so basic?

Scotty, did the West German-made 1985 VW Vanagon 1. 9L destined for the US market have head gaskets that were incompatible with American antifreeze? Would a Vanagon owner be wise to use something like Zerex G-06 (German-spec coolant) after an engine rebuild in this day-and-age?
