Here you see again that Scotty does not understand how reviews work for NEW cars. It is not about maintenance or long term reliability. It is about (tech)features, ergonomics, practicality, ride quality, interior design/material usage, overall feel, general engine refinemen/efficiency/performance and depending on the class, price. Not whether the car is easy to maintain, diy or that it will hold up over 5 years. It is a pure look at what the car offers new. Some review outlets do mention general reliability records as a warning. And have a separate part about that. But that is only small part of the overall score. That is why Toyotas just dont often win big new car awards. Because they tend to be less exciting, less refined and less smooth in the tech departement.

While I wouldn't consider the RAM trucks as the best luxury vehicle in the world, there's absolutely no doubt that AT THIS TIME, RAM trucks are far and above all their competition. In fact, the argument for them being more luxurious that most cars is soundly based on a foundation of factual data. not subjective belief. In my opinion, the award is worthless, unless they stipulate the criteria for the award. As for RAM trucks. don't laugh too loudly, Scotty. 2019/20 RAM truck with all the bells and whistles is more luxurious than you believe. Take one for a test drive; and see for yourself. Just don't take a base model RAM 1500 Tradesman for a test drive. While it's still great, you have to be realistic; and get a fully loaded Limited, Longhorn, or even Rebel model.

i remember when the ram 1500 and 2500 first were made and in the ten years i worked on them before i retired i thought they were crap trucks. especially the steering and suspensions. multiple ball joint and tie rod end failures and in those days the upper ball joint and control are were all in one and list on the part alone was 75 bucks so the shop i worked at was charging the customer 150 for it plus another 100 on the labor. the labor price was equally insane since i could have the part out in less than 15 mins as long as the control arm bolts were not frozen.

I own a Dodge Ram 1500. Best truck I've ever owned and I work it every single day. I'm glad it won so many awards. Japanese cars always used to collect ALL the awards and they were allowed to be proud of that and so we're they're owners. Guys like you hate American success I guess. I see it ALL the time so does everyone else. America builds the best planes trains buildings boats trucks space shipped computers and chips America is the greatest country. WHY HAVE WE ALLOWED douchebags LIKE THIS GUY TO BASH OUR CARS? WE ALWAYS HAVE MADE THE BEST AND ALWAYS WILL.

a good rule of thumb when buying a new car is not to bother with magazine or online reviews from anyone other than people who actually own any of these cars. along with that is if a model of car is brand new stay as far away as possible. in the first 5 years there will be all sorts of recalls and in that time you will start finding more honest reviews from people that own them. lastly listen to scotty when he says stay away any other real auto mechanic will confirm scotty does know what he is talking about.

Car companies are investing HEAVILY on electric vehicle industry. a few hundred BILLION. VW goes all in on EVs. they will make their last ICE car generation in 2026. After that, bye bye gasoline and diesel cars. Its over after 2026. Barely anybody is investing in hydrogen. Money doesnt lie.

Scotty -- In our household, we have three Hondas, one Nissan, two Corvettes and an Audi. Regarding coolant, can I top off (no more than 16 ounces) the reservoir in all of them with Prestone, Peak or other universal anti-freeze? I hate the idea of buying a gallon for each different brand.

As far as the heater only working on high it could also be the blower motor wearing out and drawing too much current. That will fry every circuit in the resistor besides high. It happened to me. You can to an amp draw test and compare it with the factory specs to make sure.
