Here\'s How Stupid People Buy a Car Mai: Unfortunately Scotty, when it comes to the car vending machines vs testing/having a mechanic check 1st, the majority of people dumb or wealthy (but still dumb) enough to do it are from my generation (and I'm on the younger side of it btw. The generation that desperately needs more of you. Less sensitive, not Google every little thing, willing to get down and dirty do it yourself not get pissed if an order doesn't arrive next day people. You're common sense is why many of us younger ladies are GENUINELY attracted to guys 50+ over pretty boys our own ages who know more about hair gel than what the heck a strut is, let alone it's purpose. Please don't stop your work/vids anytime soon. Also, If you can, could you tell me what you REALLY think regarding the 2008-11 Ford Focus and 2011-13 Hyundai Elantra. Really like Corolla & Camry, but these just happened to really grab my attention too, and they have timing chains which is the 1st feature I require and check. Thanks if you can, Sorry so long. Experience from others is appreciated too, especially by drivers under 5'2'' regarding the ElantraLuv u my fellow Scotty fam

I second what you said about Kia electronic problems. My parents have a 2006 Kia Optima. There are electronic problems all over that car. The radio sometimes will come on by itself when the car is started, the remote fobs do not work anymore, the button to open the fuel door no longer works either and the trunk has to be opened so that the fuel door can be opened manually with the pull release. The trunk open light has came on before too even thoughthe trunk was not ajar at all. I have no plans to ever buy a Kia or Hyundai. I guess they are alright mechanically, my parents car is good in that aspect, but those electronics man, Lord knows what will mess up on that car next. Some of their cars are cheap, I use that word loosely since we are talking about vehicles, but then some are outrageous and should have better quality for what they charge. I'm looking at you Hyundai Genesis, Kia K900

As someone who Purchased 2 cars from Carvana, I have not had any issues with buying either. There were some details I didn't notice at first, but they arranged service at the dealer in both circumstances. Also doing research on pricing and availability of specific models, I still paid less money than buying from local dealers, carmax and sites like autotrader. You do not understand the idea of the vending machine, you buy your car online, and get it picked up at a vending machine or delivered home. They store cars at warehouses, where square footage space is cheaper than at a dealer, same reason why online shopping is cheaper than retail. Also their money back guarantee is solid, you get 7 days or 400 miles, you can also take the vehicle on a test drive at the time of pickup. Hell even take it on a road trip and see how it feels.

Scotty, I actually bought two Toyotas from Carvana. Its more complicated than just getting the car from the vending machine. They give you the option to deliver it or you can pick it up from the vending machine. Its actually pretty cool. I had a Highlander delivered and I picked up a Camry from the vending machine. I actually got a better deal from Carvana than a regular dealer. And I didnt have to deal with a pushy salesman. Also, they dont charge you for the down payment till youre done testing the car. Its actually easy to return also if you dont want the car or change your mind.

Thats right, Scotty. But, how else are they gonna be able to lie, cheat and steal from you? ( or me) We are smart enough to not fall for the devils lie so, we stay away. However, some people are either too naive or innocent; they believe the lie and discover later that they have been had. ( abused) Thats why we need people like you who will provide us with truthful information. Then if we listened and followed your advice we can feel a measure of self confidence knowing that we did Good and saved ourselves a lot of headaches and pain.

Got a car through Carvana a while back, took it to a mechanic and he told me to not buy it. Had rust from road salt all underneath the car. Said it was really bad. I told Carvana and they took the car back, and gave me another car which I still have almost a year later and it's been great with zero issues. I had the second car checked out first though before I bought it. Besides a nail in a tire and windshield wipers, the car I ended up with was almost new looking despite being 6 years old.

My father had a Stratus---wow, what a pile of junk. At 66K he started hearing a loud clunk in the back--the rear strut mounts were completely shot. And then right before 80K, he turned into his driveway one day and the car suddenly came to a halt---each front wheel was pointing in a different direction, because one of the tie rods had snapped. Before he hit 100K, the power steering rack sprung a leak---that's when I finally was able to talk him into trading it in

Scotty reminds me of someone I knew who bought a rather upmarket Wolseley back in the dim past, which had a real polished walnut dashboard. He decided to have a better radio fitted. A week later, the dashboard caught fire. It turned out the new radio had blown the fuse so the mechanic had replaced it with a short length of nail. They had to pay for the repair. the new walnut dashboard cost them more than he had paid for the car.

Love my Carvana purchase. They gave me 2k more for my old Camaro than the second best offer. The 2018 Camaro I bought was cheap, was a rental so it was way below what it would cost normally. Thought about it, said F it. Im happy. Carvana saved me from having to speak with any scum bag car salesman. That's a plus. Paid only sales tax over the cars sticker price. Again still paid way less then nada.

It's TRUE. They charge easily 3, 000 more than what its actually worth and charge high interest to people who can't actually afford cars. My story, I bought a 2011 535i from here however, the warrenty provided by carvana paid for 10, 000 in repairs in 4 months. It's a bmw I was expecting this. It was good buy I wouldn't do it again. No problems since the warrenty was up. scottykilmer
