I have an 06 Lexus IS350, Ive loved the car since I got it. I mean whats not to love, great power (306hp) (277 ft lbs) (3500lbs), very luxurious and amazing handling. The only problems Ive had with the IS350 is that the interior soft touch paneling will deteriorate ( they have a recall and will replace and interior panels) also the transmission rear main seal had to be replaced since it was leaking at around 150, 000 miles. 500-1300 job depending on where you go. Other than that the engine pulls like no other V6 Ive been in, feels like a V8. Ive raced and won against plenty of N/A V6 & V8s along with twin turbo 335is.

Hey Scotty, I love your videos you have great advice especially on mechanics, but I have to disagree with you Ive had two used BMWs over the course of seven years, never had a problem, 3 of my friends have had BMWs and Audis no ones had a problem (except a recall on one Audi) one of my friends had a Lexus with only 48, 000 miles hes had nothing but problems he ended up getting another Lexus this time with only 31, 000 again had nothing but problems got a BMW with 52, 000 miles (435i) joined the club lol hasnt had a problem since, some are good some are bad its all subjective.

I own a 2010 IS350 and its the best car Ive ever owned and Ive owned a lot of cars (over 47 cars in 30 years) mostly Toyotas and now ONLY Toyotas (and Lexus. The IS350 is fast, smooth and dead reliable with 96K miles and counting. Its a bit of a guzzler but for a car that can hit 60 in 5 secs, 21mpg in traffic aint that bad back seat is small but dont really use it that much. Will never sell or trade in. Looking for the next ISF as my next new purchase. Have an old 74 Celica I am restomodding now.

The 2003 Lexus ES 300 is the last model year with the 1MZ, and has the improved 5-speed transmission. Theyll get around 400, 000 miles even if you abuse them. Ive seen that engine breach 600k miles. I prefer the 2001 body style, but lacks a few of the features and has the older 94 Camry 4-speed transmission. 2000-2003 ES 300s can be found at sub-4k with 120-160k miles, and sub-3k with 200k miles. Theyll retain 70%+ of that value even over 300k miles.

Whats up buddy, listenI just brought a benz e430 2002 model. It has a v8 engine. It runs well I havent had any problem in 3 months. I dont want any problem. The abs and esp signals are on and the cyclic converter need me to be replaced. The drive is a little rough on the suspension. I know its an old car but I wanna keep it running smooth, any tips or ideas on getting reasonable priced parts and getting it updated.

I own a 2010 Lexus IS250, when I slam on the gas pedal, the engine revs all the way and then the transmission engages. The transmission has complete new sets of solenoids, there were no metal shavings in the oil when I changed the solenoids. I dont have any codes, and I have no idea if it can be the throttle or the electric gas pedal has bad sensors now. Any help please? Thank you in advance.

At the crank? Is that some kind of carbonics for car nerds? If so Ill start using it. My 2003 Infiniti qx4 is fun to drive at the crank if you other needs know what Im talking about. By the way the IS350 is not a luxury car. The es350 is way smoother luxury ride. This is sportish luxuryish reliable.

Unfortunately i bought one and 2 days later the engine broke. Something inside broke. It wasnt an overheat, low oil or over rev issue. I have still yet to find out what happened. The car made no noises, ran amazing before it happened. Happened at idle just stopped running

Im keeping my LS 430 with 55k miles because 04 to 06 was height of Lexus quality and reliability. I like the IS 350 a lot but not enough to switch to a vehicle that I didnt break in and take care of. If I had it to do over again would buy the IS 350 new and keep longterm.
