5 Cars That Wont Last 100, 000 Miles Loophole: Im a mechanic at a Manhiem auto auction, something interesting you may like to know is that these new Kia and Hyundais pretty much get engine sludge the second you go past 3k miles without a change. Really its starting to seem like a lot of them get sluge even with normal changing intervals because I get so many of them. Theyre repo cars so people arent taking care of them but Ill tell you what I dont even like fords but you can go 10-15k miles easy in one with no oil change and no noticable sluge where as these kias and hyundais are oozing out the oil cap at just 5k-10k miles brand spanking new because some college kid drove it around for 8 months or a year. Also do agree with EVERYTHING in this video I see the same cars everyday with the same damn problems. Cruz is terrible, range rover is wired like a IED and always locks itself with the keys inside for no good reason, minis are blowing smoke all over and knocking, the fiats are all sitting in the Inoperable storage lot. Out of 35 or so altamas on the lot at a time youd be hard pressed to find more than 5 without something that has fallen off of it.

I bought a brand new Range Rover off the showroom floor, had 7 miles on it and they had to jump start it and then tell me after signing the deal that they needed a few weeks to replace the electrical and the head gasket was actually mounted on the top of the gas tank somehow so it had no head gasket. whats weirder is that they said I had to pay an extra 4000 for it to be installed with standard brakes as they said the E brake was all it came with unless I got the full package. with it not coming with working headlights either that seemed to be wired to the windshield wiper relay, so the lights come on periodically like when the wipers are set to certain settings. so u have to have the wiper switch on and hope the lights flicker fast enough at night for u to see the road. other than that and the fact that the gas filler was also accidentally mounted at the factory to the inside of the car, under the glove box area, it was a good deal 97, 000.

I bought a used nissan versa hatchback s with 90k miles on it for 6k and so far its lasted me 4 years with very little trouble (knock on wood. I only had to replace minor things like spark plugs and a part in the front passenger door that is connected to opening the trunk. Thats it so far and I have 153k miles on it and Ive been rough on this car to be honest. Id recommend one because they are cheap and if you need a point a to b car this will do it at roughly 28 mpg (not the most amazing mpg for this size vehicle I know but again its a low budget car.

My mother has a Rover, 187, 610 last time I did her oil change. Never done anything to it but regular maintenance. And one bad belt. Wife has a 2014 Nissan Altima 318, 201 right now same thing keep the oil changed, and had an issue with the power driver seat replaced it with an easy to find junkyard replacement to match. And is it just me or does the sound of this man voice and his whole demeanor make you want to punch him in the face repeatedly

Any GM car that has a V8 that has the same transmission as the V6 models. After an ex had an 06 Impala SS with the 5. 3 V8. never. again. The motor consumed about a quart of oil monthly. GM mounted the same transmission used on V6 models to a V8 with more power and torque. Long story short the transmission is destroyed between 80k and 100k miles usually.

I like your fixes they are great. But almost every time you pop up on YouTube its like almost every new car wont last. When I have seen these cars go past your statements on not making it to 100k. Id just stick to the fixes. Because some cars that you said in past that wouldnt make it to 100k made it past that amount and have been reliable.

We owned a mini all the way up to 100k and sold it. Only BIG things that went out on it were the clutch and the power steering pump. Other than those, it was a fairly good car for 13 years. Only small things went out. A couple window motors that we just took out and cleaned, rad fan that we just replaced ourselves. Small things.

What about the Ford Focus? From 2001 on up the auto transmission has been a nuisance for everyone. They rarely make 100, 000 before it lets go and in 2012 to 2016 some were letting go at 200 miles from the dealer. There are several complaints and class action lawsuits against Ford for this but they havent gotten anywhere

I have a 98 Ford Escort sport sitting at 224, 000 Miles with no issues. Really just depends on how well you actually take care of your vehicle. What he doesnt tell you is that most ppl see an issue or light they wait weeks even months before actually doing something about it. Thats why their damn vehicle doesnt last long.

F you Scotty I thought to myself yes yes yes my car isnt on the list then came 5. While I drive a maximum, not an Altima, I have a CVT and at 96k miles. its getting a little worrisome. Even moving the shifter is getting tough not to mention the smell of burning fluids when hard accelerating.
