The Future of Car Headlights Turbo Diesel: Would love to try a set of these LED bulbs in my 1999 Dodge Ram pick up truck. My only concern is that I dont believe the headlight buckets / reflectors are designed for LED bulbs. Therefore, I would have to try them out first and see what happens. Got a feeling Ill have to look into purchasing special LED designed headlamp assemblies. So either way, its going to cost me some money (whether I win free bulbs or not) to do anything other than just keep the standard halogens that still work fine. So, all I can say is send me a set of these bulbs and Ill gladly do a before-and-after review of the product installed in my vehicle. If it goes positively, Ill gladly help you promote the hell out of them.

Very interesting, Scotty But when you mention angstroms you really mean degrees Kelvin. This is a measure of the light quality. A lamp putting out light at, say, 3000K will be more of a warm white colour, while 4000K or in this case 6500K will be a very bright, cool white. Angstroms are a measure of distance, used to describe microscopic objects.

I bought a set for 50 bucks during the kickstart program last year for my 17 Elantra. Works great with my auto headlights. My only regret was not getting more sets for my other vehicles. I will buy more eventually but I will miss the low price tag. Keeping an eye out for more kickstart programs.

I wonder how these work with a car computer that checks status of light bulbs. Ive heard that because the computers sensors expect 12V potential that LED lights (which typically only use 5V) can appear out of service when they actually are operable.

Very interesting product. Id like to buy some, but I dont feel that they are worth 139. I could install a strobe light kit for half of the price. Hey Scotty, what do you think about the Mazda 3 and the Mazda line in general

Keep up the great work on your public auto service announcements. Very informative, and entertaining. I could use a set of those sweet color changing led headlight bulbs on my 2014 tacoma prerunner.

Scotty I wish I can hug you through every video I watch. You helped me with my car in so many ways with me being a new car owner. And I just want to say thanks you so much. Keep it going

Problem is that these are not DOT compliant in the US. No LED headlight bulb is legal in the US. And these will not work with CanBus systems like in Volksawagens for the last 10+ years.
