Heres Why You Need to Buy This Car Now ussling: The fewer cars due to attrition, accidents, etc means fewer replacement parts for those that remain. Having said that, if I could find one and afford it, I would get a Lucra L148 and go out to put Ferraris to shame. If I were to man waaay up, I would find an earlier Viper before Dodge put traction control and all that other safety felgercarb on them. Sigh. I am consigned to a mass-produced 2017 Toyota Corolla SE with a 6 speed manual transmission. With that, at least insurance is more agreeable than it would be with the Lucra or Viper. Or maybe a new DeLorean with an upgraded engine, exhaust, and suspension out of Texas. Dont see too many of those around.

They made a TON of 79-93 Fox Body Mustangs. but when is the last time you seen one cruising down the road? (That wasnt a beat up 4 cylinder) They arent worth a fortune, but its amazing to see cars that arent very old becoming rare. Whens the last time you seen a Chevy Corsica or Ford Probe, Chevy Beretta? Dodge Omni-GLH?

Scotty, I love watching your videos. great information for people that want to take care of their cars and want to avoid getting ripped off. But you kill me with those sunglasses, normally I do not trust people that wear sunglasses, particularly if the mechanic is working on my car wearing them. HA HA HA

After you consider annual cost of insurance, service, and repairs, I highly doubt youll break even on any of these, much less make money (even if they do go up in value slightly. Unless youre talking million dollar cars, cars are a horrible investment when considering the alternatives.

And here I was hoping you were going to say my plastic 2006 Ford five hundred limited with Asin tranny would be worth a fortune one day. Nope. Aint gonna happen. Wouldnt be fruitful at this junction. Oh well, good video anyway Scotty

I have an Evo 9 SE, which was the only made for one year, it think its up there with the S2000 and the NSX someday. Other cars i think that will bump up are the Mazda RX7, R33-34 GTRS, MK4 Supra to name a few.

Rule of thumb: Nothing sold as a collectible actually turns out to be a collectible. If that were the case, my neighbor with the house full of Franklin Mint junk would be the wealthiest person on the world.

Hey Scotty, love the vids, & appreciate you taking your time to educate us. I have a 99 Camry with the usual oil leak, is there a sleeve kit that youve had good success with, or would recommend?

But you shouldnt buy a car as an asset, its a liability. To buy a car and hope it holds value, well enjoy the car and dont let your ego push into a Mustang or corvette.
