Hey Scotty, what state are you in? Sure could use some help getting a reliable car out here in Las Vegas. Also I have a 1999 trans am that needs some love, but I need to sell. Any advice there? The headliner is starting to rip some, where the t tops go. Seats are ripped in the front( I got cheap covers, not 250 like you got for the wife) just had the rack and pinion (hopefully I said that right) rebuilt, tune up with new wires and a new air conditioning system less than 2 years ago. Has the LS2 corvette engine in it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on what or how much more money should I put into it, before selling it. Thanks in advance, times are tough out here, trying not to make a mistake I cant afford to make. Love the footage, keep it coming. Thanks

I have the same car. Although this video is accurate, I didnt particularly enjoy doing some of the work on it. Changing the spark plugs are no fun. It also has a timing belt, which is no fun to replace. The rear brakes are prone to seize, because the caliper rides on one big pin and its metal to metal. My dealership sold me the car with seized up rear brakes and then tried to charge me to fix them. I only had the car for a month before I figured that out. Make sure you have some good grease on that pin. Youll have no rear brakes and not even know it when youre driving around. I also have a Mercedes. I enjoy driving the Mercedes more, but it isnt as well built as the Lexus.

I bought my Toyota avensis 2 years ago and I havent had a thing go wrong great fuel economy its not the fastest thing in the world but is very comfortable to drive especially long distance Ive owned a couple of BMWs before and they was at the mechanics Evey other week theyre fast but money sponges, I see so called alpha males smirking at me in their BMWs and Mercedes and laugh to myself you can smile all you like ya smug git but cars dont make a man and ill still be driving while youre on the side of the road in a cloud of steam. I was one of these guys and used to think that Toyotas werent that good but until youve owned one and driven one youve no Idea how good they are.

I bought a bicycle for 106. Good exercise, no polluting the environment. I put a large front basket and two side baskets on the rear. I use it to go grocery shopping. If necessary, I use public transportation, as the bus, which is not too expensive. If one needs a large object delivered or moved, I pay for that service. No expense of: license, registration, automobile cost, maintenance, gasoline, insurance, drivers license fees. I am 66. After an abode, an automobile is the next biggest cost in your life. (Unless you get married, have children, get divorced, then your life is slavery.

I bought my first Lexus 2 weeks ago and Im hooked I hear you on the V6 but I got a 2002 GS 430 and it is awesome I got it with 97, 000 miles on it and did the timing belt and water pump service, a few pulleys or timing belt and serpentine accessory belt and a Delco radiator for good measure. Not only did I do it myself, but it wasnt difficult at all. Plus, I never done one before and figured what a good time to learn. We hit 30 mpg on a 120 mile trip and I get 25 mpg mixed on my 43 mile ride each way to work and back. These cars are great

Had an E class about 5 years back thing was in the shop at least once every 2 months. There were parts on that thing that literally rotted in my hand when i took them out the build quality was so bad. After that got totalled i settled and got a lexus is350. Best decision ever, easy to work on, cheap parts, 2 and a half years and i only had to swap the starter and a radiator. It has 220000 miles and still going strong. only thing Ill replace it with is a gsf. It maybe wont be as fast as an m5 or e63 but hell itll last like 40 years probably

Scotty is forgetting the engine in this car has Variable Valve Timing which = very smooth acceleration, along with 24-valves which = extremely fast acceleration. A friend of mine had a 2005 Camry with the exact engine, and it had very fast and smooth acceleration. It was a like a rocket Any Camry or Lexus with this V6 24-valve engine is going to have very fast acceleration. Its an amazing engine, and at idle, whisper quiet. Toyota has a secret weapon in these cars, and thats the quick and silent engine.

Do you recommend getting a bmw 335i 2007 with 100k miles. It has upgrades like (Cobb intercooler, forged chargepipe, Afe intake, jb4 brand new with cable connection to deck, 3 downpipes. (hpfp, thermostat, water pump, all gaskets has been replaced. The only thing is that the turbo has not been replaced or serviced. What are my risks of buying this car? Do you recommend getting it? I dont want to spend a lot of money im currently on a budget. Thank you.
