Good advice. But insurance companies are one of the biggest scams in America, so go with the most reputable that you can find. Your ounce of prevention is to drive a bit slower than everyone else on the road, keep ample distances, stay out of the pack, be attentive, and constantly improve your skills, and safety which can not only limit the possibility of an accident, but also will save you a bundle on fuel, wear & tear, maint, etc.
Better advice: Drive a cheap car to do your running and do liability only, or the minimum the law allows in your state. Limit yournicer car with better insurance for occassional use and keep it in a garage.

Hey Scottie! I m not very savvy when it comes to cars and I just bought a new Lexus UX 200 which has now put up over 1, 250 miles. A close friend of mine told me it s ideal to change oil and filter now even though the Lexus dealership instructed I take the car in for the free service at 5, 000 and 10, 000 miles. What should I do? Is it okay to change oil and filter this early or should I just wait until the first service at 5, 000 miles with the dealership? Thanks!

Most places in North America your license plate is not your insurance policy. In British Columbia Canada that is not the case, if you have a plate and it s valid its proof of your insurance also. And we can collect valid simply by looking at the tag sticker on it. It s displayed right on the plate. That s about the only thing ICBC Does right
