I would have waited, but when the axle breaks on your 20 yr old PoS, when you, personally, mistreated the engine, you have to buy something. Finding a private seller is more easily said than done. I found an old Chevy w/ a 5 speed, and despite the thing being the plainest car I've ever seen, it felt really good to drive. I paid at least 3/2 what it was worth if not double. Hopefully, in 5 years, when I can afford a new car, they'll still be making manual transaxles.

To be honest, I don't believe for a second that the used car prices went up 5. 4% in August. People have lost their jobs by the millions. Many don't have any income at all. And people have been on restricted movement. How could the prices of used cars be the highest in one month since March 1969? If it is true, there must have been some collaboration going on about raising the prices.

Hey Scotty hope your well, I bought a 2006 pontiac torrent with 168k km on it, was told it had a ECM issue. but it was 1500 bucks so i jumped on it. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to fix this. I tried swapping out the ECM for a refurbished reprogrammed one, and now it wont do anything. Tried to do the keyrelearn process same thing. zilch. any ideas? thanks Scotty!

Price for used cars are going up because people are holding their cars instead of trading or selling. So at the auction for license dealers, they have to bid high for cars if they want to still have cars on their lot. So that mean dealers have to pay higher than before so they have to raise the price to make up their profits.

I've been following the prices of used cars in Canada ever since I bought my 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth last June. I'm very surprised by how fast the prices of used cars have risen in just three months! I'm seeing price jumps of 2, 00 CAD for the same spec'd cars I've previously seen for sale last spring!

. there was a time when voltage regulators were something that looked like a big relay with points and mounted usually on the firewall, then regulator moved into the alternator as added electronic components besides pre-existing standard diodes. Scotty says that today the computer is involved.

I'm lookin at a 2008 Ford f-250 4x4 with 5. 4l Triton. 175k miles. Is this a decent motor. Just gonna tow my travel trailer a couple hundred miles a month and local driving. The Stealership is asking 9k trade innis like 2500. I was gonna offer 4k at the ford dealer. What you think?
