Hey Scotty, I believe you are a little bit wrong regarding the quality of products based on the origin, products made in Mexico can be as good as any other, the same for Chinese, it does not depend on the origin but in the stadards set by the brand. The most of things that the world consumes are made in China, but again, there are cheap crap and highest quality products depending on the requirements. Maybe you do not know but a high percentage of the software (the top of the technology) that US companies use is created in Mexico, Guadalajara is the heart of Software development in America (the continent of course, HP, GE, etc have of course their headquarters in US but the hard work is made in Latinamerica and India. So stop saying it is bad because is made in MX, Honda CR-V has been assembled in MX since 2007. And as a final question, the hard work made in US comes from. ah yes, mexican and latin americans hands.

You are a dunce Scotty sorry but you seem to contradict yourself left and right. Honda 1. 5T have issues on their whole range also the 2. 0 natuarrly aspired engines had issues with gaskets. Plus they are GDI compared to Toyota having both direct/port injection and does not require maintenance that goes with that. Plus Mazda and Toyotas are trying to stick to naturally aspired engines. Mazda is not ford anymore and actually do a good jobs with their new designs. Havent seen any crazy problems with these engines. Yea in conclusion you seem to be a hypocrite and speak out your butt.

When the people designing your car have profit as first priority and the people assembling your cars have profit as first priority things can go wrong. Toyota/Lexus has gone downhill since the redesign with spindle grill and shape edges. All of the new ones ride like garbage compared to what I thought I was buying when I ordered the cars from Lexus. I am stuck with shiny pos Lexus products that drive like a top heavy bookshelf and have plastic interiors.

And Mazda are now as reliable as Toyota and can last over 300k miles That is why they are partnering up with Toyota Plus they are both Japanese Scotty seems to be 10 to 20 years behind when it comes to car reliability Sure Mazda and Kia/ Hyundai were unreliable a long time ago, but not anymore Even BMW is doing really well now and Mercedes Benz has gotten a little bit better with reliability and even Jeeps are getting surprisingly better

Well my mom sold her 2011 Toyota Venza 3 weeks ago. And then last Friday she now has the all new 2020 Subaru Outback XT Onyx edition in the pearl white. Yep she gone from Toyota to Subaru. But her new Subaru Outback has the new 2. 4 turbo boxer fat 4 engine making 260HP. And yes hers has the CVT. But since hers has the turbo engine. It has the high torque CVT transmission. And Subaru along with Honda make the best CVT transmissions.

Toyota used to make the Camry in Indiana on the same line as Subaru made their cars since they did not originally have the sales volume to fill a shift. Guess what? The Toyota Camry reliability did not suffer at all. I suspect the same thing will happen in the Mazda plant in Alabama Toyota is planning to share with them. Engineering & manufacturing dominate reliability, not line sharing.

Do a lot of research with any honda or toyota, there are tons of problems with both. doesn't matter. They both had many problems. defects in engines, transmissions, recalls, it's all over the map. Some were much better than others. Oh and get a civic r scotty? okay i'll just shell out 40K no problem bud, pocket change right? I don't see one in your driveway.

Grrr by a mazda fan. yes they dont last as long as toyota and honda but they are the most fun to drive. amongst the 3 and will survive 130-150k without any trouble. my last civic lasted 150 k after which the transmission gave out while mazda 6 lasted around same. If mazda can get hands on toyota transmission mazdas will have better longevity.

What is your opinion on the older bmw straight six engines? Aside from the cooling system being made out of plastic, is there any severe issues these engines develop over time? You might have answered this already somewhere but I've yet to hear your opinion on their engines at least Thanks for your video, great as always
