Video is in 4K Ultra HD! Thanks to BadDoggy for the GoPro 6! Due to maintenance work on several areas the line between Bergen and Voss is closed between the rush hour trains (morning to afternoon. Rail replacement service (bus) is offered the passengers. When the line opens again, trains must be re-positioned both for their maintenance cycle and starting point. My train is one of them. No passengers. Just me and the train, and A LOT of time spent on sidings waiting for other trains to pass in every direction. As stated the video is in 4K. The power needed to render and work with 4K is beyond my current configuration, so I left out the overlays for this one. Signal information: History of the Bergen Line

Hey HinduCowGirl! Thanks for a great new movie! I love the new 4K clarity, and your posts in general. What a great way to portrait this fantastic landscape, which reminds me totally of my own homebase Switzerland. Talking about Switzerland: how do you like the El 18 and the Stadlers? I am still amazed where, worldwide, our Swiss engineering marvels are put to good use. As a former mechanical engineer in the engineering department of the Rhaetian Railways in Switzerland (and now gone from 2D to 3D being an airline pilot: -), my heart still beats a bit faster when I see Swiss designed locos on foreign tracks. I hope you like the Swiss Power, and thank you again for all the great movies! :) Ill honk overhead when my buddy and I will fly to Nordkapp in June this year with a small plane, following the Norwegian coastline. ;-)

Thanks for another great video. A few comments. Busiest I have seen this line on any of your videos. Now I understand why they want to double the track as far as Dale. would prefer to see the passing trains come through at normal rather than hyper speed. Why did that local train overtake you at one stop? I though your train was the express. Finally, at the stop where you were held for 2 approaching trains - the local and the freight train - I noticed that your points were set for you, even with a red light. Is it not normal for points to be set to the side track until the way ahead is clear and the light changes to green?

Awesome video! I enjoyed all those meets. I know it wasn't pleasant for you though! Thank you for sharing again! I'm going to try and to donate a few $$$ for this incredible website website! I just have to get a few credit card bills paid (sick Kitty cat ): (
Just wondering when we donate does it go through Pay Pal or whatever? I will have to get that straightened out! Just wondering can we pay in Canadian $$$ or is it U. S. $$$? The exchange rate sucks for us Canadians! :) All the best! Thanks for taking the time to do this for us! :): ): )

Excellent color and sound rendition in this video. I wish I could turn up the volume to what it should be, but I'm afraid the neighbors in the adjacent apartments would complain.
I was going to kvetch about the other trains and highway traffic racing by at 500 km/hr at the station stops, but then it turned out that you did not do that at every stop, so I guess I'll let it go. Although if you make another video like this, perhaps you could just do a fade out/fade in during the waiting time.

At 1217 we passed a bridge which seems to go nowhere. I did not see a ramp or such on the right side. And there have been a few more like that in the various videos. Some I can understand - such as barriers to rock, hill or snow slides, yet some others seem to have no particular purpose or function. Some have trees growing on top. In the interest of keeping nature's offerings interesting? Less rock and soil to move out? Nuclear devices would be out of the equation!

OK there HCG. question. Here in this country before we start any train in motion, at the very least we ring the bell to warn people we are going to move. On our passenger trains not only do we use the bell, but we are required to sound our horn as we approach a platform and then again just prior to departure from the platform. I've noticed your railroad doesn't have any such requirements? No bell or horn like we do? Just wondering is all.

Welcome back again and a big Thank You for this movie. You always find other aspects to show. The line always stays the same, of course, but everytime it looks different to me and I noticed again things, I had not noticed before. Great! How Do You manage that? You seem to be a big talent, as a train driver, yes. but as a photographer and director and producer, too.
Immer gute Fahrt!

Another interesting video. However, it does raise a couple of signalling issues which over here in the UK would be a definite no-no. At 'VAD', the signal you stopped at was beyond the points - that's one no-no. The second is that the points themselves were set towards the main line so had you NOT stopped, you would have been heading for a head-on collision. Is this usual in Norway?

A good job done here and having rendered a few video's myself I fully appreciate the time and effort required to accurately edit and annotate overlays to produce to them to your standard. The quality here is outstanding and its very clear you're improving all the time. What editing software are you currently using? (apologies if this has been asked before) Thanks for sharing

There is still a lot of snow, for an April, what are the temperatures during these days?
You wait a LOT at red signals, isn't the schedule of other trains synchronized with yours?
And I saw that you went to a vacation, where have you been if I may ask? :p
Btw, I miss Norway, so much: ( I wish I could come there again!
