22: 43 I am afraid to ask how that off-road vehicle made it to that location. It does not seem to feature a rail-car conversion to make using the rails practical. Tracks in the snow suggest he at least straddled the outside rail.
And at various times I saw the heading of the train oscillate back and forth across the direction the rails travel. The train had trouble staying centered on the rails? Or did the camera get silly? (Or do I have a video rendering problem here) Around 24: 00 is one place I saw this several times from the off road vehicle time. That must be small traction losses. I bet it's not fun for the train driver.
38: 42 BANG? eek,
On the down slope did I see a lot of the anti-skid technology chopping off the breaking momentarily to reestablish traction?
Summary - incredible, gorgeous, and a beautiful accompaniment to Christmas music.

Now in addition to watching your videos, I have live camera views of Skarsvag, Port of Nordfjordeid, Jorpeland and Vind pa Maloybrua. As I write this it is either raining or snowing I cannot tell but according to my weather map Oslo is dry. Must be the coastal locations.
The video quality is really good this one. Looks like it was cloudy so your white balance was not getting blow out all over the place. You should be getting snow soon your new camera should be able to deal with that a lot better you mentioned that some time back.
By the way do you have the ability to apply sand to the rails for traction in icey conditions? They do that here in the states, but it is primarily for freight trains pulling heavy loads over inclines.

HCG--I subbed after seeing your 1st video. I love them! Not only do I find your train rides mesmerizing as to the scenic beauty of Norway, but as a geologist, I love how the land forms you pass, expose the tectonic and glacial elements that formed them. That, and when you drive your train through outcrops where the rocks were cut to lay the tracks, I get lost is geo-thoughts. It's fascinating! Thank you for your videos!

Boy! If you like rough-cut tunnels, snow sheds and curves that appear to lean to the outside of the curve, THIS is the video for you! Grab your popcorn 'cause this one goes on forever! And, don't worry about missing anything. it's the same thing over, and over, and over, and over.

Maybe you could keep the map intro, as it was on premiere. It can be good for the people who are watching your videos for the first time. Another option is that you start every video with map and mark section covered in that video. With or without the voice (better is with you.

Because of the mountains, Norway is not a place that you would normally think would make a great place to build an extensive rail network - but thank goodness someone did - otherwise we wouldn't get to enjoy spectacular footage like this. Keep the videos coming, HCG! :-)

I notice no horn at some of the horn signs somewhere between 10: 00 and 15: 00 (up around 20: 00 the horn is back. I'm wondering if you are sometimes not required or if you dubbed a different sound track in places? Just want you to know we're paying attention out here: -)

Fortunately we haven't had any snow yet at 857m here in Spain but we will be going to the Cazorla Natural Park for Christmas and New Year and that is full of mountains much higher than here so who knows?

Amazed at the sharpness and clarity of image. Flawless video stream. A delight in watching full screen at 2k, forcing me to get higher net speed to enjoy at full 4k. Great work HCG.

Really like the videos. You have the best seat on the train. Considering the ruggedness of the terrain, travel in Norway must have been arduous before the railroad was built.
