According to a few comments they have 2-8-0 number 111 and they have reacquired consolidation number 40 from the Colorado Railroad Museum which is undergoing an extensive restoration number 40 was one of the Georgetown Loop railroad's original locomotives which ran from the the 1990s to the early 2000s it did a few demonstration runs on the White Pass and Yukon before ending up at the Colorado Railroad Museum where she received a larger tender and has now been reacquired by the Georgetown Loop railroad and will hopefully begin operations in the future

I rode the Georgetown Loop Railroad back in 2013! I rode in the rearmost car (which was the car directly behind the engine on the way back, which was one of the open yellow and green ones! Shay number 9 pulled the train i was on!
I ntoiced that they repainted the 1st class ex-WPYR cars since I was last there! I did pass by the railroad in 2017, and saw the 111 was fully assembled (Its parts were scattered across the yard in 2013)
I'm heading back to this rialroad this summer, and I'll just film the train from the outside this time!

I did do a first film at the Georgetown loop railroad. It was in 2016. It was also being pulled by a diesel locomotive, Diesel engine # 130. The Georgetown loop was the line that was used by the Colorado & Southern railroad. It's another narrow gauge railroad in Colorado.

I really enjoyed the video but Georgetown is in the mountains, up I-70 to the WEST of Denver. If it were out here east of Denver, I'd be there daily. Again, I enjoyed the scenery and video.

This was the first steam tourist railroad I had ever heard of, and it shocks me how little it's changed in the last decade and a half since I first got a glimpse of it

I rode that train last summer, but on engine 111. Never got to ride on those cog engines before. Let-s hope I can see one next time!

Beautiful! Rode the Loop 31 years ago. Motive power has changed, but the scenery is just as beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
