Jake and I are in day two of living off the grid and its been freezing. In todays episode we blow up our new boat and head into town for some supplies Rollem: I can see that road being a big problem very shortly just needs a couple of wagons and your car up and down for a few week and you will be stuck good and proper not a lot you can do just keep an eye on it I would suggest that if you could borrow a ride on roller maybe in winter and rainy months to keep it solid could save a fortune on hardcore.
Great place to live forest is great as long as it is far enough away from the house from a falling and a fire point of view, and it does happen, I don't mean to be a killjoy and I am talking from experience we had a place very much like yours and it was beautiful but in the 6years we lived there we had three very narrow escapes from fire we lost a few outbuildings the house was saved, in high winds we always had a few down and even old branches breaking off can travel a fair distance in the wind and do damage, but thank god I had trimmed them back so as they were all at a distance that if they did fall they would not do any serious damage to property. Good luck for the future oh and put some traps down for the martins all pelts make good money.

The biggest resource you have are VIEWERS who collectively have hundreds of lifetimes of knowledge, experience and if you're open SUGGESTIONS. You can either learn by making NEWBIE mistakes or involve your viewers by asking for suggestions. The STRYKER boat is a poor choice. your choice to go into a boat without a PFD is BAD. glad to see you do have PFDs. NEXT you need a marine VHF radio. You guys need lots of help. Up to you!

Ok, so I'm late to the party, inspired, have started at starting over after seeing one of the shower vids. Making me have second thoughts about our next immanent house purchase. We could do and achieve so much more with the eye watering amount of money bricks and mortar cost here in the UK. Keep up the great work, Harry

The only way to stay warm in the far north is to eat lots of fat from the animals you harvest. I don't think the vegan diet i guess yer on is going to cut it. Live like the natives or get real skinny. Good luck on your adventure. Looks like fun!
