Youtube's Fake News Fight & Changes Explained, LeSean McCoy Allegations, Kavanaugh's Past, & More. WildBuck007: The entire concept of Local News is corporate based. In short, the path of least resistance. The least amount of effort. The least amount of funding over profit. The least amount of work in the sense they have to actually look at what is going on in the world instead of the local area. While people generally want to know what is happening around them, in the corporate world it boils down to sensationalism and catchy who fcked who or shot who etc. The lowest common denominator rears its ugly head for a quick money grab from the sponsors/ads. Take a look at the news 40 years ago and while it was biased much of the time. You also get a whole different experience. You get a sense of the news caster telling people to be motivated and involved in politics. Get angry when politicians do wrong deeds and hold them accountable. Fighting the mob or be intolerant of people doing bad things. Entire movements began sometimes and right or wrong they spoke up often enough to see a dramatic uptick in people getting involved. Skip ahead to 2018 and the news is about some liquer store robbery or some popular media person having a hissy fit for whatever reason. Mean while in the world, injustice and liberties being stripped. but who cares because you have your fake famous people made famous from a corporate clown saying they should be getting the fan fair. Heya Phil, need a writer? >; )

My thoughts on new YouTube news announcement. Which I wanna preface by I've actively been trying to be less concerned with this whole poltical/news cycle thing. Now for my thoughts. With the growing distrust of these large tech companies as well as news in general I think what's going to happen is. A: this will work well or atleast well enough not to destroy the platform and after a month or so people will move on to the next story and forget about all this. B: will be bad or atleast bad enough to cause more people to be fed up with YouTube and just go to one of these smaller 'alt-tech' sites. Personally, I think I would prefer B. That's because (despite not personally uploading anything to YouTube and having a small online presence myself) I hear it's becoming harder and harder to even get seen as a small creator from you Phil and well as from other 'well-known' creators. That's not to blame the larger creators at all, you all likely got where your at by consistent uploads and hard work. But I do think that the growth of these smaller platforms could be beneficial to help stabilize the democracy of information on the internet.

I have mixed feelings about Brett. On one hand, I wish he was not conservative but whatever. That's just my personal taste. On another hand, I like that he said he would follow the law or whatever and wouldn't give his personal opinion. I think that so many politicians make decisions based on their own beliefs no matter what. I appreciate that he is willing to follow the law. He seems to come from a place of facts and rules rather than passion and opinion. Regarding net neutrality, I don't like that he's against it but I think an overwhelming majority of the United States citizens do not want it repealed and it won't be an issue. Wiretapping and the other NSA shit is difficult for me. While I feel like if you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't be concerned as to whether or not you're being monitored. But, everyone is entitled to privacy and shouldn't have to worry about being monitored. I'm very on the fence about that topic.

One thing that absolutely should have been covered in this video is that Kavanaugh's appointment is a complete miscarriage of the checks and balances system and reinforcement that the Trump administration is the most corrupt presidential administration in U. S. history. His appointment was made due exclusively due to literal backroom deals between the Trump administration and Kennedy to ensure his retirement as a purely partisan political move to shift more power to the Republican party on the Supreme Court. The further subversion of American democracy should not be allowed to stand, but as per usual Trump supporters and Republican voters are completely devoid of all scruples, principles, and consistency in their positions guilty to a far greater degree of literally every negative character trait they ascribe to their political opponents.

I life in one of the countries where the youtube change of the first story is already implemented. What I have seen it's pretty good just a bar like normal videos have but you can swipe right to find more video's from trusted sources (as far as I have seen but I have to say the news anchors in my country don't have obvious (political views) it doesn't take over your whole youtube page just a small show that this important news (for your country) has happened and that you can watch those videos. I have no clue how creators like philip will be affected but I suspect not much world wise since I am pretty sure the stories where it was used by weren't even covered in the show (until now it is just very lokal/national news not world news) but i also have to say i haven't really watched the video cause I mostly read news articels for my news

With regards to MCcoy why on earth would you stay silent about any of the allegations Animal abuse is nothing to be silent over and even more neither is child abuse Being silent isnt an excuse. Being affraid isnt an excuse anymore their are ways to protect the victums and those who speak for them. None of this is acceptable. Why now when her friend is on the end of abuse dose she feel empowered? Lets be clear this isnt blameing the victims or her friends and what he did was wrong. But why stay silent when helpless lives who couldnt speak out who couldnt defend themselves were being abused what made those lives okay to stay silent over. Being silent about abuse of any kind is horrible and just as wrong as being the abuser. All of this could have been prevented if someone spoke out as soon as abuse is witnessed

I would have appreciated a little extra commentary around Kavanagh's views on net neutrality. As you were talking about him, I found myself thinking eh. He's not THAT bad, but you presented his views on NN without any judgment at all. He has a fundamental misunderstanding of what the internet is. For many of us, the internet is entertainment, and in that way it's comparable to television. But it's also so much more than that; summarily, it is the most powerful communication and information tool available to humanity at present, and we need to protect it from greed. The fact that he would expect ISPs to control what content they deliver is horrifying.

IS it just me, or does Susan Wojcicki look a lot like Michael Rosenbaum in a pretty persuasive wig? Hey, if people were more invested in FINDING the truth, there would be much less whining. Bills owners/management will rapidly DO NOTHING because of all the money in pro football. Trump finally learns how to read a speech without amplification from the prompter. If Trump is so concerned about the investigation he can't o a good job as president, then he should step down. Why then didn't owners of telephone lines get to decide what got transmitted over their lines? We just usd telephone lines willy nilly.

ya fake news is the most crippling problem causing our political failures, especially frustration, which drives people to being ignorant. the most important thing is to punish, or even shut down news (lie machine) groups when they blatantly misrepresent the truth, rather then allowing the free speech so they can do whatever they want cancer. and for the record i am not talking about being bias, like CNN and most of Fox, more like the crazies on Fox, conspirators, corporate puppets, anarchists and. to be honest, Trump (look at the i never said that montages.

You talk about how YouTube might accidentally put misinformation on the front page of search results in breaking news situations, yet you do literally the same thing regarding the woman supposedly being beaten up. I understand that you say it's a developing story e. t. c but so do the news outlets. It could seem like you wanna grab the attention of people searching for this story which is why you covered this and other celeb news. I want to say it's hypocritical, but I'd like to hear your view on that. But the chances are you won't see this.
