So Let's Talk About This BetterHelp Situation. Adrian Rutkiewicz: They will change those terms and conditions to a place where I feel overwhelmingly comfortable. How will you know though, if you (or anyone on your team) don't read ToS? At this point in time it's a meme, I get it. Haha, who reads ToS anyway? Well. I do. But that's besides the point. It's fine to risk repercussions if you are responsible for yourself, but if you actively promote a service or a product, you become morally responsible for people who take your word for it. While normally, I would blame people who signed up without reading the ToS I really can't because you didn't do it either. And it is really damaging, you know, because now it kinda makes me wonder what's any recommendation, made by anyone who recommended this, worth. Especially now, after this recent Mystery Box debacle. Be more dilligent, I implore you, because this kind of negligence could hurt this new tier of support YouTubers have found for themselves. And it would suck: (

I am here after watching PewDiePie and Internet Todays opinion on the matter. I will try to keep this in the most mature way I possibly can: I can only speak for myself, but to me it seems very clear that BetterHelp is a scam business created for profit. When I see this video, and this is the first one I have ever seen with Phillip DeFranco, I can't help but feel that he should be smarter than this. There are proofs everywhere that this clearly isn't what it looks like. Christine Barger explains to all of us how she was treated when she signed up for the sessions, and many others have had the same experience. So for me it looks like you are doing it for the money and throw away all responsability just like they do. And for that I hope this will make some scars in your Youtube career unless you really don't realize what you are doing with that partnership. Good luck in the future. Disliked.

PLEASE READ they are scammers. I joined better help because Shane Dawson promoted the company on one of his videos. I took Shanes word for it, I had no reason not to trust him. He actually said that they are affordable Maybe to wealthy people. I originally thought it was 30 a month and I hardly ever spoke to the councillor that was chosen for me. I had a look at my bank statement and it Said that Betterhelp took 220 one month and 400 the next month That was money from my deceased father that hung himself. That was the only money I had and now I cant even pay rent, please people can you try and get all the big youtubers to read this comment. I have commented on 2 of Shanes videos and have not yet had a reply. I am sure Im not the only one that they are doing this to

Obviously the commenters on this video have not watched Phillip for any substantial length of time. He just like any other business owner needs to make some form of money, that money comes from advertising. He cannot do this all for free, if he had any malicious intent why would he make a specific video saying yes the wording was weird but I will do everything to make sure it becomes right. He could have just ignored it and it would have just vanished. Phil I dont know if you will read this but I do love your videos, while I dont always agree with your opinions thats the best part is you give facts then you opinions and ask for others and the conversations for the most part are great. Dont let these troll a-holes stop you from what you are doing they are just idiots.

I know I'm a late commenter but I hope you see this because I'm 100% on your side. The second I saw pewdiepies video I unsubbed. I get why people are mad, they've never seen legal speak before but to call this a scam is such an overexaggeration. I'm glad you stepped back and are asking for them to step up and change it so they're more accountable but don't listen to these people saying you're wrong for originally endorsing them. You saw someone trying to help people and you decided to help them help people. Literally the opposite of wrong. You did the right thing Phil. And then when you learned people were upset about something the company was doing, you again did the right thing. Don't let the idiots and the misinformed get you down.

_People. It's a legal liability clause. _ OH the naivety. A Sky Diving company will make you sign a contract saying that _if you die, it's not our fault. _ This is effectively the same thing. I would always suggest receiving therapy _in person_ by a professional you know has great experience and expertise. So although I would never recommend or use Better Help, I don't think the basis of this critism is justifiable, especially since the service they provide is from licensed professionals. The point of including the clause would be to prevent any liability on the company itself, if one of their therapist uses fraudulent licensing or any unprofessional behavior.

Phillip, I looked up to you for a long time for your unbiased opinions on news and what is going on. This is unacceptable by all means. It's obvious you only see your fans as money considering you didn't even bother to check whether or not this shitshow of a company was safe for them and actually did well for those with mental health problems. This is embarrassing and a shameful act you caused, and you didn't even try to apologize for what you've done. How cruel of you. I hope you learn that your fans deserve better than this and start doing actual research the next time on your sponsors before you just take the money and run.

Ffs if you had just been honest about this whole thing then nobody would have said anything and people would have been praising Philiy D for being a hustler. Not only did he hide his affiliation but also use the money from his patreon that was supposed to be used to create a independant news network to fund his ad agency that made money of this whole thing. How anybody can still trust anything that comes out of this guys mouth is beyond me, when he is reporting on youtubers and meanwhile suggesting and grading them in terms of suitability for partnerships. Seems to me that there are many conflicting interests at play here.

Big fan. Havent heard anything about this as I have been busy. This video does not seem like a good idea though. You seemed to damn the people who were raising questions then explain why your name pops up randomly in Dawson-BetterHelp transactions. Also, Dawson does an entire video series on mental issues way out of his depth and basically explains how everyone is a sociopath. sponsored by BetterHelp. You may be innocent, but damn, this shit looks shady as hell. I'm sure people were ridiculous, but fly above the crows. This vid seemed aggressive as hell and also made me understand why they were confused.

so. you say the claims about you being the 'mastermind' behind the youtube betterhelp debacle are ridiculous lies. but you just said you are an 'ad agency' for the, making money off of this whole thing. so someone else must be doing all that work for you then? who is 'we'? how does someone so widely involved with this company, making so much money from it, overlook something that serious? and why are YOU. not anyone else involved in this, doing pr for them? sounds like you're a little more involved than you want us to believe. like that one mid and his counter strike gambling website type shit.
