KSI Logan Paul Rigging Accusations, John McCain's Last Words, & Let's Talk About Jacksonville Littlewings -: As a non US citizen it is really difficult to fathom this obsession that your country has with firearms. The solution to your problem seems so simple (generally speaking) because its been done and proven over and over. When there was a mass shooting in the UK the law was changed and access to firearms removed. Since then we have not had one mass shooting. The same thing happened in Australia, there was a shooting, guns were banned and then no more mass shootings. You can argue all you like about guns keeping people safe or the fact that people who want to do harm will find a way but its all just excuses at the end of the day. Guns dont keep people safe, just look at the statistics of the number of gun related deaths in countries where they are legal vs countries where they are illegal - guess which is thousands higher? Yes people will find a way to hurt others if they are that determined to do so but still the argument stands that you can harm and kill a hell of a lot more people with guns than you can with knives for example. What gets me even more is that you cant even accept that theres enough of a problem to warrant a solution, be that a complete ban or a compromise involving stricter gun control. All we get after every single time that people, or even children, are gunned down en masse is that you have a right to guns and you need them for protection. Your protection hasnt helped any of those kids who bled out in school hallways or the two people murdered here while playing video games did it? Even if you had a point about protecting yourself how many weapons does one person need to protect themselves? Seriously are you expecting an army to burgle your house? Its time you all wake the hell up and realise you are the problem, not the solution

There's no solution to these mass shootings. It's a confluence of factors that leads a person to commit such an act. Gun control will only move the violence to another medium, and no, those mediums are not likely to be less violent. There's a LOT of data behind the effectiveness of gun control. Yes, you can go find reports that state the data says gun control is effective, it's not true. It's a little complicated, but not so complicated an average person honestly seeking the truth can't parse it out. Gun control is either ineffective or results in an increase of people being hurt or killed. You can increase police presence and training to mitigate the violence and cost to taxpayers, but you're just putting the guns back on the streets in the hands of police who often don't act ethically. There's no way around it. The only way to mitigate violence is to focus on the mental health of children, and that starts in the home, with parents who love them. Parents who teach them how to control themselves, not with insisting they not express their violent tendencies, but how to focus violence into strength and competency, that gives them confidence and self worth. How to be a protector. How to know they can succeed. Every element of humanity taken from a child, violence committed against them, every lost stable authoritative and loving figure in their life to set a positive example for them, set them on the road to nihilistic depravity.

The loss of life, the loss of a loved one. It isn't something I would wish on anyone. I put this thought first because it's the one that needs to be highlighted during any discussion following this kind of thing. At the end of the day, no matter who puts the blame on what. there is a family in mourning, there are friends in mourning. A community is mourning. I play multi player video games to stay in touch with friends and get closer to people who like the thing I like. I have always considered whatever game I play to have a fan base who also love it and want to leave it at just gg. I never considered the anxiety surrounding those events and the lack of security that is involved.

Im sorry but I need to get this off my chest. The mother is just as much to blame as his bullies are. Where was her mind at, why didnt she guide him through it, the kid seemed pretty smart too from what she said he could understand what position he was in, now I want to know why didnt she expose him to the hate that might come his way. Im just flabbergasted. In an age where you can and will be bullied for the shoes you wear she says nothing about the hate and vitriol that people might feel towards him for being gay. WHY? And Phil I'm sure you alone know how kids are. I'm not excusing bullies but prepare your kids for the hate that comes their way. Dont be naive.

Seems America keep forgetting that mass shootings is an American problem. This right to carry guns is ridiculous, any other peaceful country can tell you that. It's dangerous weapons that should not be available for the everyday person. Every automatic and unnecessary big deadly military weapons (I'm no expert) should be illegal and only people who hunt or are hobby shooters that have gone through training and thorough background checks, and the police, should carry the ones that are ok for their purpose. Yes, I know the phrase if a criminal wants, the criminal gets, BUT IT MAKES IT A LOT HARDER FOR THE TROUBLED TEENAGER TO GET A HOLD OF A MACHINE GUN.

Theres no amount of gun control you can do that will make everyone safe because those that want to kill/hurt people are going to find a way to do it. Whether its with guns or knives or homemade explosives you can't stop this. You can't, with respect, predict this. All you can do is make it as difficult as possible for someone to kill someone else (with a gun in this case) but gun control is just some buzz words at this point. You aren't going to be able to take people's guns away (within reason. They will fight back and that will lead to more violence and death. Increased security and better training (police included) is what is needed. not gun control.

The audio from Jacksonville shooting is heartbreaking and as for kids pulling back from society by staying inside to play video games no shit why would you want to be out in public or even in school when any asshole with nothing to lose can walk in with a gun and kill dozens of people in the blink of an eye and the worst part these kids can't even think well maybe my death will change things and save more lives down the road because we've already shown no amount of dead children will lead us to say hey you know what maybe assault rifles should be hard to get and the mentally ill shouldn't be able to get a gun with no background check

I believe shootings come down to mental health and deterioration of the mind to a point that a person sees only one option to ether get some kind of opion heard or a need to have some kind of perpuse with nothing to be dedicated to. Games have become a big thing now and with more population invested in gaming gives higher percentage chance that these things will happen it is human nature the everlasting search to understand will not solve this yet it helps. Less people dwelling on the next big thing out there and blaming that. Then there is more people that want to understand and solve the problem

i enjoy shooting people so much be it a pistol, a semi automatic, a shotgun, a sniper, a grenade launcher any of those type of guns, and i enjoy running over people with all types of vehicles. nothing greater than seeing them in agony lying on the ground in a pool of their own blood slowly dying. mmmmm just typing all that now gives me such joy and excitement. oh did i say in a video game? oops i do this all in a video game every single night. in a video game it's fake i'm not really harming a person, i know if i really did this in real life i most likely would lose my life
