The answer to solving the destruction humans cause on Earth is veganism. stop exploiting all animals as much as reasonably possible. it would stop us from taking up so much land to shelter live stock and would stop over 50% of our crops and a shit ton of our water from going to care for the live stock but instead directly to care for the people. we would stop destroying the oceans by over fishing. we would stop killing animals for clothing or unnecessary reasons such as pseudoscience medicine like you discussed in the video or for trophy hunting. all of this stuff would lower our green house gas emissions, would lessen deforestation for us to use the land, and would stop us from wiping out the oceans. then the next step would be to work on more sustainable ways to farm crops without exterminating chunks of different species. the first step though is veganism. stop exploiting animals help save the world, yourself, and the animals.

I have paused before seeing anything other than the WWF info. I think there is a medium to being apathetic and the need to get involved. I think a more conscious effort to use products and make choices as consumers that benefit the climate and ecosystems. The majority of the damage being done is done by corporations and it's up to consumers to hold them accountable and choose alternatives. That being said technology and things that are commonplace and hard to live without have horrible longstanding environmental consequences and it's basically climbing back up a cliff with a twizzler and a prayer to truly cut this things out of our lives and create change. This is rambling but I think something can be done and regular people have a part to play, but it's not our individual faults. Consumers need to become more aware.

In regards to WWF, I live my life as sustainable as I can without going mad. 9 months ago or so I did a 'no plastic' month. Meaning, I bought nothing that was packaged in plastic. Nothing at all It ended when I bought contact solution. Before I did this and since. I live a very plastic free life. I also eat at least 2 days a week without any meat. When I eat meat I buy local and organic as much as possible. I buy used instead of new more often then not. As well as borrowing something instead of buying something new. These things plus recycling, I feel I make a little difference. It was kinda hard at first, but it is now second nature. We need to be more conscious, this is our only planet. Once we destroy it. It will heal. May take a long time, but humans wont be here to see the rejuvenation.

Phil, Id like to say that having a fullsail sponsorship could possibly play out similarly to the betterhelp sponsorship. While Fullsail does offer a plethora of degrees, the majority of them are not universally recognized by employers or transfer schools. I believe it could be harmful to present fullsail as a 100% trustworthy college (not that any college is 100% trustworthy, but you know what I mean) I understand that while your employees have garnered success due to their degree, the most likely scenario is that students will be scammed for every penny over the 20/29 week program. It claims to be the salvation, when in reality it can ruin lives. I had to rescind an application there after many people reached out to me saying fullsail was a completely phony university.

Regarding the WWF report, you asked whether or not I feel hopeless or the drive to become involved and the truth is that I feel hopeless. There's a lot of thought out there about vote with your dollar and I try hard to support companies and products that are eco-friendly, but it seems like a drop in the bucket compared to the damage of one well funded company. Steam starts rising from my head when I see people buying single-use bottled water when they have a reliable public water source (I know that some do not, but in my area we do) because those bottles will be around FOREVER and that water has a 1000% cost markup and comes from the same place (usually. Why aren't we selling single serve water in tin cans yet?

Sad when you have to think of Texas when it comes to saving animals. lol at least the 5000 or so exotic cats there will be safe. edit: the reason why kobra kai did so well is because it's one of the only red shows (and movies for that matter) worth a damn. The rest all look like a child trying to make a show in his bedroom and oddly enough many are actually much lower quality than the content from the famous creators in said show despite the low funding they have on their own. lol Red is the biggest joke youtube has had. KK is literally their only saving grace. (at least they can hit a home run at least once)

Ok, so crazy idea. What if the Chinese measure is taken as to regulate the rhino horn and tiger bone market. That way instead of having i be completely illegal, it has all these hurdles like it having to be farmed and it having to be prescribed and all those other conditions. So when people then have the possibility of getting those treatments from sources that don't hurt the ecosystems as much while the hurting the illegal, ecosystem hurting sources. Of course, i don't think it's a easy as that, but it might have been a sentiment behind the measure.

THANK YOU for covering environmental impact & wildlife. In recent years, I feel environment/wildlife preservation has slipped through the cracks and isn't a fad any more, as it was with Leonardo DiCaprio & other celebrity endorsements. It's an issue that's ALWAYS been here, and though some news (i. e. CA's successful efforts to reduce its emissions) has made it to mainstream media, we are still largely a wasteful and forgetful society. Unhappy Earth = unhappy inhabitants. Or dead inhabitants. So. Again, THANK YOU Philly D & crew

Im so sad to hear about WWF. I myself am a huge nature and animal lover. Ive been a vegan 2/3rds of my life deciding at age 11 eating animals wasnt something I wanted to do. I helped grow and plant bay grass in the Chesapeake river. I took part in helping and protecting sea turtles in Florida this year. I donate the little money I have to helping save dogs and supplying donations to shelters. I have a rescue pit as my service dog. Im going to do more after hearing these numbers. I have to do more, WE need to do more.
