Conor McGregor Backlash, The Jeffree Star Multi-Million-Dollar Makeup Heist, DOJ Protects Netflix, & Alex Watson: Meh. If the kid had to be in a reform school, then it kind of implies the behaviour of the kid. Children don't get subjected to reform schools unless they are known to exhibit extreme and violent behaviour. With that being said, we are only hearing one side of the story, we have not heard why many of these incidents happen. I used to be a high school teacher and i literally quit teaching chemistry (which I loved) after 3 years because of the abuse some of my students would subject me to, but I couldn't do anything about it. Why? Because they are children. Except one student took it too far, slashed my car tires then left a dead bird in my car. I took that as a threat and I had to file a police report for damages. That student today ACTUALLY is in prison and i'm not sure what for. However, i'm not saying I condone what the school is doing, i'm just saying, these kids aren't angels and the teacher is right. 5 minutes in a corner is better than 5 years in prison. For every 10 person that points fingers at reform schools, 100 more probably will step up and highlight the good the school has done for them. Especially a school that has been around as long as Glen Mils.

Sorry about the length here. I am going to mention something here about the problem with the Netflix situation. I agree that Netflix makes interesting, artistic content, more than worthy of Oscars. But I love watching movies on the big screen, even though I often lack money to do so often. Big movies and smaller, independent movies alike. I pick my movies based on how excited I am about them and how they will look on the big screen. I do not live anywhere close to New York or LA. So when I wanted to see The Little Prince on the big screen, did not happen. Roma, did not happen. They are fine on a tv, but a movie screen is more. More emotion, more power to certain images. I think theatres and Netflix should take this kind of experience into account. I worry that as more creators move to Netflix or other streaming only distributors I will lose the opportunity to see anything other than a blockbuster in theatres. It would be sad for me. (I am referring to Netflix here as streaming only because it does not really release movies into theatres except to qualify for Oscars)

Spielberg needs to evolve with the times, these days people prefer enjoying content INCLUDING films from the comfort of their home and just because these films are not released in the traditional manner doesn't mean they can't be good enough to receive awards. I, myself, used to be an avid cinema goer, we even had the membership card and would consistently go twice a week but these days we only go for films we're truly excited about and have been waiting for. Don't get me wrong, we still love going to the cinema but we just love watching at home even more. Plus at home you can make a comfortable night of it. in your pjs, in bed or on the couch, have any meal or snacks you want without insane pricing, even have a glass of wine or a beer and the guarantee that there will be no annoying people on their phone during the film or screaming children or babies, and if you want to pause it to use the restroom you absolutely can or if you want to rewind it a bit because you missed a bit or loved that bit you can also do it. it's just so much better.

I've never understood why people care about all of the film & music industry awards anyway. These are already overpaid people who vote for the their friends to be recognized for doing their jobs, while people in the boring categories are honored during the commercial break - the people behind the scenes that are critical in making modern movies successful (sound, light, costume, writing, sfx, etc. If a company wants to hold a ceremony to honor the good works of its own employees, good on them. Similarly, if a bunch of people in an industry want to get together to the honor the best in their field, again, good on them. Why are there any regulations involving that whatsoever? Why does anyone outside of that company or industry care? Do you care if your server at McDonald's was the most recent employee of the month? Should you?

Hi ur post is very informative. Yes I watch UFC mma n a big fan of my fellow Irishman Conor, however I am not a fan of his behavior lately. It's spontaneous, childish, n unwise I wish he would stop before he receives real consequences for his actions. if he gets convicted of a felony he could be deported Also he is perpetuating the bad image of r Irish culture. We r not all drunkin. violent low class trailer trash so please remember u r the face of Irish people in n out of the ring so please act accordingly. Concentrate n work, family n helping ur community n people. Thank U for ur hard work n entertaining pre fight hype. U have natural ability combined with unbelievable training n undeniable determination. So CHAMP please represent us well, be safe n kick ass in the ring not out of it

I understand Spielberg's point of view about how directors working for the television screen often do not work with film form in mind to the point where it affects the language of the media, but films with limited runs are often true films (made for cinema theaters) but that didn't get big distribution deals and are left with playing in arthouses for just a few weeks, this including winners of important film festivals. Why be unfair to those? And yes, Roma prove that filmmakers are ready to make serious cinema for television, it's not made like your average tv show (focus on characters, melodramatic close-ups, etc.

netflix should start their own award show for all their own content. Then they could get all netflix users to vote for their favourites thru the app. Then, netflix could have the award show on netflix and they would get to say our show gets more views than the oscars and then the oscars would need to make a move to include netflix and then netflix could capitalize and make BANK Then netflix can rule the world

Theaters suck. Theyre expensive, the floor is gross, and you have to sit in a room filled with people which almost always means someone will be doing something that annoys you. Having a good home setup is cheaper and easier than ever with quality that isnt significantly worse than the theater experience. I agree with Redlettermedia, let the theaters die. Just watch shit at home on your own time.

I met Jeff once at a show. I have social anxiety and seriously hardly get out in public. My friend went over to ask if we could take a pic, this was many years ago before he had a makeup line, and he looked over at me, a fat awkward metal/goth hybrid, and just told her NO. I'm salty forever so MEH Don't care about his issue.

Regarding the beard oil: I'd be super excited to buy some for my dad, but the people in my family are pretty scent-sensitive, so I'm afraid that any of the scents would be too strong, especially for a product going right up against your nose. Do you think that you'll have an unscented version in the works anytime soon?
