I literally Just Found out about Farmington and I've lived in Michigan In Detroit for 22 Years (I'm 22) If That doesn't Spell Fake then Nothing does. From What I Know Since the Story Broke, it Was entrapment. I am a Michigan Native who is looking for schools in my home, have been Applying since I was 17 or for the last five years. I Never Once Heard of Farmington University I NEVER SEEN IT in my Mound of Nearby School and Michigan Schools. I've found out from my Canadian Friend who has Dual Citizenship, This School Calls people Who have nonenglish Last names or do not have American Birth certificates (and have recently travelled to America) and Asks them if they would like to enroll. This isnt Baiting someone Bait is putting the Site up and classifying it as a school, Bait is denying natives and legal immigrants and only accepting Illegals and people who are foreign to the country. Legally in Michigan, this is False Advertising. even if they tell you last minute the scheme by having the site never say that it is classified as a Felony. I should also State I do actually want a business degree so the fact I never heard of them is astonishing. Also In Michigan The Government has extra laws preventing taking illegal action for an extended period of time. This breaks those laws If people made it into the country and fully enrolled. They Comitted False Advertising laws for Years and Fooled many people with these laws. if a Cop sitting in the gas station near a no left turn sign is considered entrapment this is too.

Concerning the last story, as someone from Michigan and someone who holds a law degree with an emphasis is criminal law, the operation seems like clear entrapment. It is very elaborate and is not a normal bait situation like in a drug bust situation. The differences are in a standard drug bust, you have an undercover posing as a dealer and arresting individuals who approach to buy or an undercover who is posing as a buyer to bust dealers. Here you have them establishing an entire fake university, making it seem legitimate to international students in particular, and targeting potential international students who are vulnerable because they wish to obtain visas for going to school or just in general. The government made this seem so much more above board and took so many steps in making this look legitimate that too many innocent individuals could have fallen for it, especially if they dont understand the customs here. I think there is a clear difference between a above board bust (like a drug dealer situation) and establishing such an elaborate scheme

I think if youtube admits they messed up and shouldn't have removed ads they should pay out for the revenue lost on the video to the creator. It seem like there could be legal issues when you say your video will have x amount of ads and we will pay you whatever amount for each ad unless you violate terms and then not put the ads because you screwed up and not pay out because of your mistake. If I said to someone I am going to record you running and Ill give you 5 a mile and we do it and Im like oops the lens cap was on the first 10 miles so Im not gonna pay you for that, they could sue for that amount because they upheld their end of the agreement. Why has youtube not been forced to uphold their end. If you agree to pay someone and you mess up and dont get everything you wanted you cant just not pay the other person. You have to give them the money even if you take a loss.

On the 'deepfake' issue, I'm sad (but at least honest) that I'm not sure what the solution is to the possible problems arising from 'deepfake' content, but they're quite right to be concerned about it; I mean, we all see how much misinformation/disinformation is already out there in the world, how hard it is for some people to recognize the truth when they see it (yeah, I'm looking at you tRump supporters, flat-earthers, and anti-vaxxers) that we really don't need to be working at it to make it even harderAnd yeah, we should be careful, because if the technology advances enough, fast enough, someone horrible and unfeeling could wreak serious havoc with a purposely made fake video, picture, or whatnot.

Deepfakes is concerning because of 2 reason: 1) the already mentioned denial 2) malicious manipulation of facts. Especially because it seems to be more important to be the first reporting a story instead of reporting the truth with all the needed facts, in our current society. 3) given the right resources the result could be indistinguishable from not manipulated video. a) you could reconstruct a situation with actorsb) you could use a combination with other software to further manipulat the video. For example wavenet, Everybody Dance Now (deepfakes for dancing) or Face2Face (Real-time Face Capture and Reenactment. Well point 3 could be positive for the movie industry

widdle schiff huh? if he's saying something about it, he is trying to get out ahead of it so the attention is pointed in another direction, to come out on top as the good guys. he/they/ the left. already have plans to use it (deep fake tech) and accuse Trump of using the tech. time will tell. the tactic is. you attack your opponent with the things your doing. keeps the attention off you. msm can run the same story for months, every day. the best example to date. russia collusion attacks to hide the U1 russia deal. and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and. .. ..

Major difference between illegal boarder crossings and visa overstays is that a person must be issued a visa meaning they have been background checked and are significantly less likely to turn into a criminal as opposed to someone who is simply crossing the boarder illegally. We know that drug trafficking and human trafficking is fairly common over the southern boarder along with organized crime. The problem isn't the percentage of illegal immigrants coming over the boarder illegally, it's the percentage of those people who turn out to be violent criminals.

I did not watch much of Shane's video nor do I have any intention to, but from what I can tell, it is NOT a debunking video, just a pointless here are the theories you already knew about hoo hoo hoo what if they were true video. So because of that, I really challenge anyone to explain WHY it's so unfair that it was demonetized? It ACTUALLY is not suitable for most advertisers and it is NOT family friendly content. So? I respect you very much, Phil, but I am disappointed for your overly subjective attitude on this subject.

With the rate at which false stories are shared and reshared with absolutely good intentions on most people's parts, I can imagine a nightmare scenario in which an attack of some sort on an important figure might be faked and distributed and consequently reshared at a rate much faster than the truth. I can't image the wave of panic reactions that could result. Talk about destabilizing. Especially if it is done at a key moment like election day.
