Was so wonderful to hear Linz talking about her anxiety struggles within the context of her pregnancy after miscarriage. I can relate to this SO MUCH and it's great to feel like I'm not the only one I had two miscarriages before having my son, and I also spent every day of my pregnancy absolutely convinced I was going to lose him. We didn't even buy a single thing for the baby until I had hit 36 weeks I also had an episode of heavy bleeding mid-pregnancy, and I remember the horror and despair I felt, sobbing in the doctor's office, before getting the all-clear. I also had a moment of self-advocacy too I felt off at work but couldn't really explain how, I just knew something was wrong. I called my doctor for advice but had to leave a message and was told it would be at least 2-3 hours before getting a response. My coworkers wanted me to stick around at work and wait to see what the doc said, instead of leaving to go to the hospital. I stopped for a few minutes to think, and decided to listen to my body & my instincts. I went to the hospital, and sure enough- I was having contractions every 3 minutes that I couldn't even feel I just knew something was off. I was only 30 weeks at the time; if I hadn't gone to the hospital and gotten medication that stopped my labor, I could've lost the baby. ALWAYS trust your instincts and stick up for yourselfAnyway, Linz, thank you so much for sharing your experience. I hope it gives hope to other women who have experienced loss, & that it inspires them to advocate for themselves.

Still watching but I wanted to pause and add this real quick. If you choose to interview journalists, can you please talk to community news journalists? My local newspaper newsroom has two reporters, a local sports guy, a person for page layout and an editor. Those five people are expected to handle magazines, five newspapers a week, a website and social media, plus some. They cover EVERYTHING, as much as they can, because they're the only news outlet in the county. TV news occasionally visits for major stuff, but none of them are located here. But a lot of readers still expect the free, in-depth, instant, investigative, match-their-politics coverage that they have come to expect from huge 24/7 newsrooms with dozens or hundreds of employees and I can't even imagine how much more in resources. Major news outlets, while they may provide a recognizable name, may not be able to provide someone who deals with the same problems or fallout as a community journalist.

The Anxiety and Depression is spot on. I suffer from both and have done for a very long time but never knew what it was really. Now i know i have found ways to cope and handle it, I have learnt to recognise the triggers and how to bring myself out of a spiral before its too late. Big events like relationships ending prevent this completely though. I also agree with the way people react to it, people who dont have it cant understand it fully and thats nothing bad but i used to get god just cheer up will you or pull yourself together from everyone, including my mother because they didnt understand. Thankfully my mother is beginning to understand as are others in my life. My closing advice would be seek help if you suffer from this, there is no shame in it, especially to men this is, dont be like me and suffer in silence for years because you have to portray this macho persona. That almost cost me my life, dont be like i was

If you say something on Twitter, especially if it's an, you should feel like you're saying it in a crowded room that that person's in. No, you should feel like you're saying it standing directly in their face if you ask me. I AM the type of person that will call a stranger out on their ish in the middle of a WalMart, mostly because I live in right-wing Florida where MAGA bullying has become an epidemic. Trust me, I have no problem saying what I say on the internet to anyone's face and I equally don't care about anyone's ego and greed inspired hate towards me. It always ends up saying five times more about the person trying to uphold their racist, misogynistic ideals than it does about my belief in equality and that thrills me to no end. It's great to see Lindsey again Even better when you guys express how to do marriage well. Not enough examples of it in this world today. =)

fyi, not all of your watchers are kids, I was born in 1963, and watch you daily, and, while you do cover some, much needed, but horrifying topics, I much prefer finding out what is happening from you, than from the endless horror show of mainstream news (if it is still, in fact, mainstream, when so many of us have cut the cord, isn't it just 'one-of-many streams now, or soon will be)I prefer your straight forward delivery, your openness to debate, if civilized, and your desire to report good news as well as bad, but perhaps mostly, you willingness to call a a duck a duck when you see it waddle, quack, and swim like a duckluv yo face, and I will see you tomorrow, even if you don't threaten to throat punch me, still waiting for the kick in the crotch threatp. s. I suspect I am not the only gray hair in your audience, please consider making us feel included too

This was an interesting show. Two things that stood out to me was 1. The relationship you two share. Makes me happy for you both. 2. Is that I see your show as real news and its refreshing. I appreciate that youre not quick to share your opinion. I agree with your wife that intent matters as well as clarifying when you share your opinion on something. I also appreciate and respect your thoughtfulness of. is my opinion more than just an opinion, something to add value. I wish you both well and that you keep growing together and presenting the news in a real and relational way. p. s. and may you always remember the interesting thing about news is theres goods news, bad news and just news. Making a positive difference is the difference of not just dwelling / focusing on the bad so keep us informed and smiling Phillip DeFranco =)

The reason finding the truth is hard isn't because people aren't thinking critically or logically, it's because a lot of the stuff people discuss nowadays in the world isn't objective truth. It's subjective opinion. And people take their personal views and espouse them as truth with no irrefutable facts behind it, just a lot of hearsay. Couple that with the fact that a lot of people love to lie nowadays (on all sides of the political spectrum) in order to further their beliefs, and the fact that a majority of people online will readily call out people they don't like when they lie, but with defend and justify the people they like when those people lie, and it becomes very difficult to find the facts without reliable testimony or witnesses

Thank you for bringing up mental health. Over the last decade I've felt like it's become some sort of fad, as opposed to an issue to address. It's not taken as seriously as it is almost pedestalised and memed. Thanks for consistently discussing issues that are underlying or brushed under the rug. I think, on a very surface level however, that we could use a little more info/activism about environmental issues. No, it doesn't necessarily better us socially as a country (which yes, is a vast and tough topic, but it helps us as part of the WORLD. No world, no country. So, to essentially answer your question, it'd be great to see Bill Nye or Neil deGrasse Tyson: P Keep helping us think bigger. Thanks, guys: )

Thank you so much Linz for bringing up some really important points about mental illness. As a person with ocd, I often feel like my disorder is minimized or used as a joke to seem quirky and unique when it is something I struggle with every day. Also the point about someone helping by not trying to fix the anxiety but just listening and hugging is so true for me at least. People who try to solve it often make it worse because they dont understand that we know its sometimes not rational, but that doesnt make it feel any less debilitating. Thank you Linz, its really nice to know someone understands and is able to bring it to the attention of such a wide audience.
