THE Farrington family live and breathe all things rodeo. Kassie and husband Randy spend most weekends taking their son -the real cowboy- Kutter to rodeos across the state and beyond - where he competes professionally in a variety of events. So far he has taken part in well over 50 rodeos, collecting an array of prizes along the way. Despite the dangers of the sport, the thrill of the competition and cash prizes he can win is a trade off for the risks he takes. Kassie and Randy have received criticism for this, and not everyone in their families agree with the huge sacrifices they make. However, they-re determined to keep supporting Kutter so he can

There-s a huge difference between football and bull riding. Just as there is a big difference between helping your son become a rodeo star and helping your son become a brain surgeon. At seven years old, a child is unable to process just how dire the consequences of one bad ride could be. This is why children need parents to guide them and help them see the difference between safe and unsafe activities. Given that parents are supposed to keep their children safe and discourage risky, dangerous activities, it makes sense that these parents are being criticized for not only allowing their son, but also encouraging their son to put himself in harm-s way. If your son wanted to be the next Evel Knievel, would you let him attempt to jump over busses on a motorcycle too?

Wow Kutter! You are a great athlete keep doing what makes you happy! For those that are saying rodeo is cruel don't know this culture. Most of the people in rodeo believe they are working with those animals. They take care of those horses and cattle better than most. They spend more time with those animals they do with people. There are times that an animal may get hurt but it is not a frequent occurrence.

So What's Wrong with That and You Know what Parents Have a Right to Choose They Way They want to Raise Their Children and You what Kids Need Free Will Too Not Just Adults and it Makes me Very Mad When Adults Like Strangers want to Control Children if Their Not Their Parents and That's Against The law when Adults Known as Strangers wnat to Control Someone Else's Children but People Break Laws That's Life.

-He gets nervous but I make him go ahead and get on and tell him he'll get through it-? Rodeo is clearly too dangerous for a child and his instincts are telling him that. He's been badly hurt and his friend died doing this!
The the mom says -. we're just gonna put on the best show. -
They're putting their kid at risk for the glory of a show that sells tickets and gains them notoriety.

-it is a dangerous sport, not for the weak- said the mum who gets her child to do this dangerous sport lol surely children are classed as weak? Her has already hurt his arm three times from this. -If he wants to quit we will let him- he can't consent to this anyway as he is too young to comprehend danger etc in the same way as an adult can, especially when he is getting praise for doing this.

Little man looks like he knows what hes doin. Hes passionate! And I would let my son rodeo if he wanted. Bull riding isnt safe for grown men, so there is no comparison. Hes just on a smaller bull. Hes going to be a damn good bull rider some day. He keeps his back straight and shoulders square, keeps his weight over his legs. Hes got it!
reply

It-s always good to start early. I wish I would-ve know that back then. -
I don-t know why the need to judge them. Your opinions aren-t gonna change his lifestyle choice. And don-t even start to blame the parents. So don-t waste your breath. I think it-s amazing what he-s doing (:

Kids gonna burn out before he even reaches the minimum age requirement to go pro! Let's hope they allow him to just be a kid and do things kids his age like to do as well otherwise they'll make him hate bull riding before he can get that big buckle and check he's working towards!
reply

I'm glad that he knows what he wants to do in life. Idk if letting him doing at this age is right. But hell people let they kids transition at this age, so what's new?
OAN: He's too cute and his dad resembles Nick Offerman's character in the movie, We're The Millers.

reply

Let's just pray he doesn't get gored by one of those horns. Look at Lane Frost and other greats. They lost their lives doing this. The next time he rides, may be his last. He needs to stick with mutton busting at this age. Not full sized bulls with lethal horns.
reply

His braver than me and i far older then him. Broke his arm four times, so sad. But if he wants to do it i'll support him. Aslong as its not forced on him. If his passionate and willing to take the risk then i can't wait till he becomes a champion rider
reply

The kid can have opinions when it's young but this is the reason parents are here to do the best choices for their child at its place UNTIL the kid alone can do real choices, can really have a enlightened point of view to do and decide for itself!
reply

It is very scary that he has been injured and his friend died.
It-s true that he would be very very good when he-s older if he doesn-t take a break that he will be very good. But they should definitely taking a break until he-s at least 12.

I haven-t watched the video, but my heart is breaking for using animals as bait. God knows what goes on in their head and how they-re feeling when they-re being chased.
reply

know i'll catch flak for this but saying it anyway - so disappointing to see a rodeo family playing the -people are judging me/I'm a victim- social justice game.
reply

Yeah it-s dangerous especially for a child. also everyone gets judged. May not be for something dangerous but everyone gets judged, it-s a part of life lol
reply

What a sweet kid! So amazing that he has such passion about something and doesn't let anything stand in his way! Hope he keeps going after his dreams!
reply

My 7yr old nephew would NEVER do such a thing. Then again his mom keeps him so sheltered and protected, i don't think he even knows how to ride a bike.
reply

Damned if you do and damned if you don't, damned if you will and damned if you won't, would you? could you? should you? But everyone else is going.
reply

Wow the mom keeps saying we really does sound like shes living her dream through him atleast the dad says my kids time to shine just my opinion
reply

People think this is a problem but not when a child gets brainwashed into switching their gender. This is the messed up world we live in
reply

And yet if he wanted to be a Girl and was given puberty blockers most of these commenters would be all for it. Bet he shoots good too!
reply

Good on him he's safe he's got his parents, there to help him and you can tell he loves it good on him bright little boy rock on. --
reply

That is so amazing! He is such an amazing little cowboy! Hopefully one day he can make it to the NFR! I fully believe that he will!
reply

I feel more sorry for the animals as they go through so much of it he's a strong little boy after all or he not go on the animals.
reply

I was expecting barrel racing or mutton busting. Personally I'd never do that, but if he's happy with it, who am I to judge?
reply

Mom: -If Kutter wanted to quit, we-d quit tomorrow. -
Dad: -I make him go ahead and get on it. -
. alright then.

reply
