AT her heaviest, Amanda Conti from Rhode Island weighed 256lbs, before going on to lose 120lbs. Growing up she always struggled with her weight, and accounts her love of comfort food as being her achilles heel. She had lost a significant amount of weight in her twenties, but after getting married at 24, she slowly started to add the weight back on. Amanda gave birth to a healthy first daughter with husband John, but after losing a second trimester pregnancy her weight spiralled out of control. It wasn-t until the birth of her second daughter that she knew she needed to take action. Amanda told Truly: -When I had my second daughter and she was healthy, that was definitely the kickstart to me losing weight and becoming a better parent. She started with walking and implementing small lifestyle changes, and never looked back. Amanda now works out seven days a week, often with her father, who jokes that she outlifts him now. Despite her lifestyle changes and impressive weight loss, Amanda was left with excess skin that she had removed via an abdominoplasty. Things didn-t quite go to plan with some complications as a result of the anaesthesia, which left Amanda in hospital for 10 days recovering. Now fully healthy and recovered, Amanda wants to acknowledge the journey she has been on with a celebratory photoshoot as she shows off her new look

If your a better parent what is the dollop of whipped cream with pancakes that's not breakfast and BTW I know the harshness words say I over eat indulge sometimes I say this to remind me peanut butter and ice cream isn't okay. Or a tub of Greek yogurt isn't healthy its super fattening YUCK but I love soothing myself with this. I feel no matter what I've done in my life I've failed in everyone's eyes even though I know most people don't see the real me and the one I count on wants everyone to see me as weak. Ugh. in just one sentence. This is my life. And I hope I can be as confident as you. But at this point I'm fat have bad teeth am broke and can't see a way forward and I have 2 beautiful girls that I want so much better for. Just don't have the people in my life that are cheerleaders they are deteriorataters.

I have always been an emotional eater. I always struggled with my weight but like Amanda I lost a lot of weight in my 20's. I also thought that i had it under control but slowly after marriage I started to gain weight. Then I got pregnant with my first child -and lost my daughter when I was 8 months pregnant. After having a stillbirth then a miscarriage 2 years later I have gained almost 50lbs. I know I can't keep using what happened to me as an excuse for my weight. But its so damn hard to get out of that dark hole your in sometimes and we all use something to cope. I know the grief of losing my child will never go away. So i know i need to do something about myself. Thanks for sharing this video.

My husband was horrible, and he wouldn't allow me to leave the house. I got up to a us size 20. I left him, and after two children i was able to get down to 100 lbs. I don't even know how, but I have a flat stomach and no loose skin or stretch marks. I think it was because of my oily skin. I did it all naturally. I feel great, but I miss being big because I felt so invisible as a big girl. I do not like the attention from men being thin.

What she said about -earning food- is frequently seen in anorexia and bulimia. Binge eating disorder shares the same unhealthy mental process as anorexia and bulimia but none of the sympathy or understanding. If someone is ten pounds underweight, people show concern for them but if someone's a hundred pounds overweight, they're abandoned by society except to be made fun of.

Why is everyone naming their kids Vivian -I really REALLY tried to pick a name no one had ---- she-s 17 now, but still. it makes me mad! Lol. I actually named her after Vivien Leigh and the name I gave all my princesses when I was little- there is zero way anyone would find that name! I tried hard and failed --

I'm happy for her and hope she keeps it off. I am wondering though if she changed her diet at all? It looks like she and her family still eat things which are potentially unhealthy and can cause weight gain pretty easily. I would like to hear about any changes she made in her diet.

From someone who's dad never cared about her and was absent, I get emotional seeing dads who care about their kids. She's so lucky to have such a supportive dad! I think she looks great and it's so empowering to see people make these kinds of transformations.

I'm so glad I came across this beautiful story and achievement. I had a miscarriage myself and I struggled to get back on track with life, developed depression and anxiety, gained so much wait. she inspired me, I'm buying those runners tomorrow. This is it.

When I heard she had 4 months of maternity leave I said I wonder what country she is in? Than I went back on the clip and saw it was united states. Sad that i thought it was another country because 4 months is not a regular thing here unfortunately -

My problem is that when I'm depressed or sad I don't want to eat but when I'm bored or happy I eat. Since I am happy most the time I associate eating with celebrating life or being fulfilled

Her abdominal area may have stretched out due to having children. In any case, she looks excellent and sets a really good example of healthy lifestyle for her children.

It's good to see how supportive her dad is. From experience, I know some parents keep telling you that you need to lose weight and do nothing to help you

What a great woman. She should be proud of herself. And such an added bonus, what a wonderful supportive and loving father she has!

Look great, apart from those poor breast-s look like they lost all their weight. I would of covered them up on that pic if I were you.

Good for her losing the weight, and getting fit, but why do women start then getting the duck lips etc? It's not a good look.

To have the loose skin removed, did you have to be out? Or could that happen with a local anasthestic?

If you struggled so much with your weight- why you teach your daughters to have trash for breakfast!
