A HOLLYWOOD burlesque dancer has swapped Sunset Blvd for dirt roads in Iowa as she finally confronts the father who told her -she-d never be loved- as a transgender woman. Cassandra Cass, 41, was a 14-year-old farm boy with no qualifications, when she left Iowa to pursue her dream of becoming a woman. News of her departure and decision to transition shocked the rural community she came from and caused a rift between Cassandra and her father Bill, 75, for many years. Although the father and daughter are now on speaking terms this is the first time Cassandra will see her father since the pandemic. The two have agreed to have a no-holds barred conversation about the past in the hope that it will bring them closer together - but there-s every chance it could further draw apart the father and daughter

It is mind boggling that u Cassandra talking about love and acceptance and kindness but proudly wearing a fur coat. That fur was ripped of skeletons of many breathing animals while still alive. It shows how much u lack compassion, kindness and love YET u demanding it from others in regard to yourself. Pathetic and sickening how humans are. We are a disgusting species and no amount of pink wrapping will cover that. I have nothing against anyone who does whatever as long they do not hurt others (and I'm not talking about words now. But all this just shows how shallow and narcissistic u r.

In general when people say hard hateful or hurtful things there is a type of dissonance. I understand, she said what needed to be said to her father.
She can invite him out to California but must also understand he may never fully be able to be part of her life. Their relationship may be one of -I love my father he does not accept that I am a trans woman fully but I know deep down he loves me. - Sometimes life can be that way.
Moving back to Iowa might not be the best for her, she might find it a bit stuffy -As I say you left for a reason.

I would never want to see my son or daughter perform burlesque or strip or anything like that. In my opinion, that's inappropriate. You can be supportive of your kid without having to release all your boundaries to do so. To each thier own I guess. Also Cassandra seems to be overly fixated on being -beautiful- (I realize that is part of the job of doing burlesque) as if a perceived desirable appearance will make everyone else in your life or in public admire you automatically.

None of these guys that pretend to be women ever seem to want to do the things that the majority of women do.
It-s always stripping or some other outrageous nonsense that the most women wouldn-t even want to do let alone aspire to.
Why don-t you blokes want to be a real woman, I-ve cleaned my house taken care of my kids and prepared the evening family meal and I did all this without the need for a massive pair of breast implants.

It's very sweet of her father to accept her for who she is today. I have a trans sister/cousin who I love to pieces from first time I met her. She is loud and proud but very kind, loving, helpful, put others first, and the list goes on with her. My cousin is her husband and I was proud cis gender woman to be their wedding too. The world need to be a little more open minded about everything. Make love not war. ---

I don't think you need to sell your brother's death, the grief of your sister-in-law and your complicated relationship with your father to pay your bills. You need to reevaluate your morals because what you're doing with the pain of these people is tacky.
reply

Sadly This is true, I think he tolerates her but doesn-t accept her. He does look nice in the fur though and it-s sad that her dad couldn-t accept her sadly. Sometimes you have to meet people where they are sadly.

I wouldn-t want to see my child-s burlesque show regardless of the gender. I don-t have kids but I find that uncomfortable either way. But slay girl you look gorgeous! ---

awwwww. i-m so sorry she lost corey. it tears a whole in my heart. it makes me so happy she still has his wife in her life to help keep his memory alive -

The father is typical for his generation accepting to a point but still set in his ways. Cassandra has a nice personality but far out for Iowa
reply

She should of told him -but I will still be an ugly woman-. Isn't that a point to be a woman. Not all women are beautiful on the outside.
reply

Gaining a daughter would be something to celebrate I'd have thought but the burlesque might not sit well, as any father would worry.

Being a woman is something more than big boobs and blonde hair! It's so much more. That is not supposed to be the image of a perfect woman!

I have known Cassandra since she was a little girl coming into the scene. So nice to see this and how great she has turned out

Thank you Truly for giving light to the mental health crisis. I feel bad for his dad. The dad tried raising the kids right
reply

No matter the amount of makeup surgery or hormones you still have male chromosomes and male bone structure lol you are a man
reply

All the power to you Cassandra! You are strong and beautiful! You bring so much light into peoples lives! Keep it up!
reply

I'm so happy for her. I wish I could meet her and see her perform. I'm so sorry for her loss of her younger brother.
reply

You want people to accept who you are while going to extreme lengths to change into who you are not. So perplexing.
reply

Salute to that father for not participating in that junk, no man wanna see their son make a damn fool of them selfs.
reply

Who else thought her dad's gonna show up at the end but didn't that's sad, anyways she's a fantastic women. -
reply

Why are the people who say and do hateful things the only people who don't remember what they say or do?
