We found love - in prison - love don't judge

Meet the extraordinary couples who found love behind bars Renee: I've noticed it is overwhelmingly women who date prisoners on these shows. I wonder why that is and if that's truly the actual breakdown of people dating prisoners. I had a prison pen pal in Belize, where I live. I was a teacher at a junior college and we visited the prison with students in a sociology class. Apparently a prisoner liked seeing me and sent a note to me through a cousin of a student who was also a prisoner. It was very strange but I did write him letters and eventually made some visits to him, but I was very clear that I was not looking for a relationship beyond friendship. When he was released from prison, it was a problem for a while because he got my phone number and would call me continually. I didn't feel like I lead him on. I finally got so angry, I had to ask him to leave me alone and stopped answering calls or texts. Belize is very small and it's easy to find people but luckily he finally backed off.

I am really happy for you both. Please, do not allow anyone dictate your future nor any potential of a loving relationship you may have or having. Your family and friends will have their concerns that's because they love you and want only the best for you, but at the end of the day if you make each other happy then go for it! We ALL make mistakes in life and we can only hope that we learn from them. I'm in touch with a prisoner we have been each others pen pals for nearly two years and it is one of the best things that I ever did. I feel that people who sit in prison have more time to face their realities and are better for it. Look what's going on in the world today and the way people are acting. We should never criticize people who are incarcerated or anyone else until we take a good look around and also, at ourselves. I wish you both all the best! Good Luck

My family is the same way judging my man before they know and see him. My old boss is his mom and she set us up. and we started talking and texting and calling and video chat. I have gone and see him in person. Now 3 months into it. he has told me he love me and i love him. he dont want anything from me and he know that i have kids and he want to be a father figured.
He has over over over that he is a change man and has god in his life and I know his family

I-ve been w men that have done hard time. It changes them. When they are in they can love bomb and be nonstop attentive. It-s different when they are in the free world. Also the world is different than it was ten years ago. The truth is, ten years is a long time to be institutionalized. For her sake I hope it-s all rainbows and unicorns, but from a realistic viewpoint this is so foolish especially because she-s a mother.

Just by the way he mocks the choice of music she sent him in prison tells me that he is someone who has to maintain this macho image. I hope it goes well for them, but he doesn-t know any different lifestyle so I just feel she is heading for disappointment. But she has to make her own mistakes, her sister should be a bit more supportive and accept her decisions.

Some people are romanticizing criminals. it blows my mind. Its one thing commiting a crime after dating, but to intentionally look for them through penpals or whatever? Also how can you trust anyone just by writing/ calls/ texting? You never know their true personalities until you meet and be with them. Yet, here they are saying 'He's different'

My cousin is a hybristophile with a felon fetish and this is a very bad thing to be promoting. She's also a criminal though and not of the -I can fix him! - subtype but this will appeal to gullible, lonely, codependents with a messiah complex and will get more people hurt than anything.

Sweetheart i promise you. You will see the real him within 6 mths to a year of time released. I hope for you heisnt a psycho. He doesn't have nowhere to go. Don't bring him there. And no wonder y your so trusting you like Britney Spears that's why lmao

Can't these women penpal with anyone who served 6 months for writing bad checks or used their mother's credit card without permission? They are clearly attracted to gangster like guys but you also get the issues that come with it.

The only thing is her sister or whoever that is in this video. She is pushing her into him. Shut up and maybe she will realize on her own he's grimy. You don't want to hug him 85 percent if inmates have hep c. Did you know that?

-If it doesn't work out we can just be friends-. He'll probably end up back in prison but for murder with a firearm this time because if he can't have you, nobody can. What makes her think he won't turn aggressive on her?
reply

not only is alan in for murder, he-s in for a double murder. he kidnapped and robbed and elderly disabled couple and then buried them alive. seems like a great choice to have a baby with. that woman is delusional.
reply

It's hard to hide love, sometimes you find it in uncomfortable or unexpected places. She needs to acknowledge that he did commit a crime and served a sentence and to wish that he learned from his mistakes
reply

Why are they so obsessed with making tiktoks about it. I can't get rid of the feeling that those women do this to get some kind of attention and it doesn't matter if it's positive or negative.
reply

To the second girl, just a tip. Psychopaths don-t blink as often as neurotypical people. First thing I noticed about your man is that he barely blinks. Take it for what it-s worth.
reply

They all seem happy. If that's how you have to get a man, get it. The inventory of single men is low. The only thing Im going to judge them on is the taking chairs to the beach LOL.

Nothing but love and respect for these brave couples not all of us cons are bad people I met my love while I was locked up she came from Africa and we are happy and blessed.

Mommy met daddy when he was on let-s say -vacation- for ten years and he loves mommy. But where did he go? A wonderful island called rikers. Actually it is so nice people can-t leave!
reply

I-m pretty sure that he did more than just driving the car! They always lie, and she believed that, and had the audacity that he only drove the car and didn-t do anything wrong!
reply

I want to know if there are any men doing the same for women who are in prison. Just curious. You often see women who are with men who are in prison but never the other way round.
reply

What Sigrid is failing to mention is that her husband, Alan, kidnapped an elderly couple and BURIED THEM ALIVE resulting in their double murder. Yep. Sounds like a great guy.
reply

-STAY SAFE- hits different coming from an inmate. Definitely doesn't have the same thoughtful/considerate connotation it would in almost every other circumstance lol.
reply

This lady said there-s people in there for SMALL things for 20yrs- I kno people who got less then 10yrs for murder u don-t get 20yrs for something small smh
reply

I remember seeing this video a while ago. Did they re-publish it, trying to make it seem current? I wonder what the status of their relationship is now.
reply

So while in prison he reached out to a realtor to purchase a home when he is released? A realtor thousands of miles away in another state. That-s crazy.
reply

Most people gave a super similar story and you are getting paid to lie who you kidding. Getting young girls to throw their lives away. Ugh disgusting
reply

That friend saying you-re a bad person if you go to prison is an ignorant person. I-ve been to prison and I-m far from bad, just made bad choices.
reply

I would never do something like that, my brother has made a career going to prison, and he said never have anything to do with people in prison.
reply

The last couple.
Alan Wade was convicted in 2005 following the robbery, kidnapping and first-degree murders of Reggie and Carol Sumner.

All I have to say to these people is don't buy problems leave this story to the families they are the ones suffering! Keep on whit your life
