There's more to my tourette's than swearing - born different

IT-S impossible to control my tics, says Bianca Saez, who has one of the worst cases of Tourette-s in Australia. At the age of just five Bianca started showing signs of having Tourette's Syndrome and by the age of 12 it had become so severe that it affected her everyday life. Her tics include slapping, yelling, swearing and hitting which often get her unwanted attention from strangers when she-s out in public. Some cruel online commenters have even said that her tics are fake and she-s doing it all for attention. As some of her tics involve bad language Bianca sometimes feels guilty - she told Truly: -It's just the way my tics come out and I don-t mean any of it. - Although her tics cause her some day to day struggles Bianca has created a YouTube channel called B With Tourettes that documents what life is like for her with this extreme condition. Truly caught up with Bianca at home where she described all the different tics that she has and how they affect her

The sudden headbutt one is terrible, but could be funny. I'm not laughing at the condition, I understand how horrible, and real, it is. I'm laughing at the people it must startle. Like inadvertently faking people out and making them think you're going to headbutt them, is funny. Imagine walking through a shopping mall, and all of a sudden the person you would last expect to, not that you would expect anyone to, but a cute young girl suddenly does a headbutt psych out and startles you into jumping into a fountain. Especially in the UK where headbutts are inexplicably more favored than in the rest of the world. I'm glad things are changing and conditions like these are SO much more accepted by society. The average person knows about these illnesses now, probably because of the internet, and that's great because I imagine that's the worst part. Being ostracized. Also knowing the difference between a person born with a tick just trying to buy a soft pretzel, vs someone who wants to beat you up, is obviously a net positive for society. I'm really sorry you're going through this.

-THANK YOU- for helping people understand Tourette-s syndrome. My friend had a boy with Tourettes, and he was in middle school when he couldn-t take the bullying anymore. He took his own life at 13. He was a truly beautiful soul, and could make you smile just by being in the same room as you. This was before everyone had cellphones and internet. I wish he could have experienced the support of watching others with the same thing. I really think it would have helped -
If I were a parent of a child with Tourette-s syndrome, I would take them to their first day of kindergarten, and explain what it is, and what it intel-s. Answer all questions and help them understand as best I could for their age. Every year I would do this until my kid asked me to stop. -thank you again for helping people understand, and helping it to become more understood and normalized. No matter how big or small, every bit helps. -

I am a former psychiatric nurse who is familiar with Tourette's, and the reactions of those around her to this woman's dangerous and assaultive behavior (to herself and others) saddens me. Her mother laughing and giving her a hug when she hits her in the face, the boyfriend, after being hit in the face, rewarding her with a kiss, etc. - only ENABLES her to continue, to the extent that in this video she is actually boasting about her behavior, and on one occasion describes herself as a -Superstar. - Yes, the -tics- may be involuntary, but in this woman's case there is an emotional disorder - all that rage - under her behavior which needs to be treated with therapy. Not to mention consequences. It would be interesting to see what would happen if the boyfriend told her that, if she assaulted him again, he would be gone.

What is Tourette? -
It is a rich spoiled white race disease. Some exceptions with other races too but it mostly catches rich spoiled kids with very soft heart and who lives in their own fantasy land unaware of the real life problems. Just fu##ing give them resposibility and see the changes in them within a year, when they will have to learn to behave to get adapted to the system, when lack of money and real life compulsions will strike they will learn to behave and will become disciplined. Too much pampering has spoiled the entire white race.

Well explained! Thanks so much for sharing this! It helped me understand what people with Tourette-s really go through and their side effects. I hope you all the best for your future and the relationship with your boyfriend ( as well as your mum of course) and I hope you can make an influence to show everyone what you-re capable of and make sure more and more people start to understand Tourette syndrome and become more understanding!

I'm Bipolar & it can be so frustrating when in public people treat you like your Dumb, a Child or my favorite, pretending to be that way. So I absolutely Love you B. I have a much harder time when in public I try not to go out. Thanks for being awesome I wish I had your strength!

B can you wear a helmet made nice for you. With how often you bang your Head and you said you were concerned that you could be causing brain damage that might actually be true. I don't know I just thought it could be possible to have someone make you a really cool helmet.

As this tourettes kids grow older their tourettes symptoms starts to go away slowly. why? Because they start to know they have to learn to behave otherwise they wont survive in the real world, people outside are not gonna tolerate their TANTRUM and would kick their -ss.

She is such a great person and I-m glad that she has someone in her life who loves her and cares about her. People who judge her or say nasty things to her, are ignorant assholes and people like that make me sick. How would they feel if they were in her shoes
reply

She has a boyfriend and will probably get married in the near future, I'm -fine- but I don't have a boyfriend. no matter the problem, illness or whatever, everyone has someone except me!
(Of course, I am happy for her)

Instead of doing videos as a personality you should be reading into nutritional deficiencies and curing yourself. others like myself have helped ourselves. There's no point in your videos anymore

So with Tourettes you can-t control the words that come out your mouth? Genuine question

You really need to be kept somewhere where you won't be a danger to yourself or others- stop using Tourettes as an excuse for wanting to abuse people

Having a pet when you have so many triggers and quite aggressive ones is just cruel in my opinion that dog will be a bag of nerves every day

I-ve always wondered if THC would help people with Tourette-s? She-s pretty sweet and it-s nice she has someone that loves and supports her -

But. the dog! Is there no risk that you throw the dog or bite, punch? Can you controll the tics while carrying the dog?
