So last week Andre talked about Atari-s role in the rise of the video game industry, but Atari wasn-t the only major player in the 1970s. So we-re going to step back a few years and first talk about Ralph Baer who designed the first video game console - the Magnavox Odyssey. The Odyssey would go on to inspire the industry including of course Atari but also Mattel and many others. This was the start of the first console wars and with it we see huge improvements in graphics, gameplay, and of course better storytelling. But we-ll also see a flooding of the market which will have a cost, but we-ll get to that next week

Wait, what? You mention Coleco literally ONE time in the following episode. But in this one, the one dealing with the dawn company rivalry & marketplace politics, you fail to mention that the Colecovision eventually had a peripheral made to steal customers from Atari by letting them play Atari games on the system? The Angry Video Game Nerd covered that _YEARS_ ago & you make no mention? C'mon man.

As cool as they are, keep in mind that -Easter Eggs- aren't really a thing in games anymore and for good reason. My consumers (and particularly companies) don't approve of buying software with hidden additional functionality that wasn't what they purchased, mainly for cybersecurity reasons.

SEGA is Japanese? I always thought it was American, whatnot with the company making pinball and other mechanical games for servicemen in Hawaii during WWII. At the time the company was known as Service Games, or SeGa for short by the local servicemen.

Please stop doing so many video games shows. There are hundreds of other games to do from centuries past. It's all this show ever does is video games. Yeah they're great, I get it. Come on though, they're given too much attention
