we learn what components are inside a stepper motor Mac_UK: Interesting. If I wanted to control several step motors from a micro controller like the NANO I would be limitted on how many motors I could use. I am thinking of having several step motors all controlled by 2 wires, I2C. An ATtiny85 configured as 2 inputs are the I2C inputs, & the remaining 4 wires are the motor control wire to a driver board. I think it could be done, but would need software for the ATtiny85. Is there a board that already does this out there.

I'm not sure this makes it clear - why do the teeth on the rotor align with the teeth of the stator when it is charged? The magnet on the rotor is south all the around, and the other is north all the way around - so why does it spin at all?

You can get Stepper motors to go beyond their speed specification by ramping up switching rate, instead of going to the set on/off speed, start slow and increase the on/off rate to exceed the specification and thus increase devices performance

Awesome explanation. Couple of weeks ago I was disassembling a stepper motor from a 3D printer and I was curious about how they worked. Good to finally know! Keep up the great work

I'd like to request a video explaining portable generators for residential temporary back up power. Does neutral have potential to back feed utility power lines? Thanks

Thank you for the video. I am left with a couple questions: What is a Stepper Motor? How does it established direction of spin?

Seriously guys I feel like you just cut parts from older videos to make short videos to upload. Been this way the entire year.
