Join me as I take a whirlwind tour of Sweden's history, geography, economy and culture. Sweden's influence in the world is huge in comparison to its population size. Why is this? What is it in the culture and people of Sweden that makes it so disproportionately influential? In this video I hope to provide the answer by an examination of some facts about Sweden, its history and geography

I found few things in Sweden. Very small population, very calm, cold, organised for the most despite the dirty streets with full of Cigarette butts, dirty trams, trains, reserved and cold people but not hostile, personal freedom and democracy, very good music, very nice nature during limited time June-Aug. Very high taxed place and very and unrealistic expensive food and services such as taxi, bus ticket. No free toilet anywhere and finally and honestly very boring architectures in many places. Should be more thoughts behind for such a country with cold weather. You should build more attractive and beautiful buildings and better and faster train connections between the cities. Try not to fall behind and try to be more open and friendly. Swedes have more to show to the world. I hope the population gets bigger with more influence to the world

Outstanding video! The history of Sweden proves how crazy popular conceptions of DNA are. People will get excited when they spit into a cup, send it off, and discover Nordic regional markers in their results. Spirit of Vikings or somesuch. Utter nonsense! -It's a matter of culture, not genes. Sweden went from raiders to the opposite rather quickly. The other point regards atheistic societies. They have far lower rates of violent crime, compared to the US. And they're more generous, both within their borders and in the developing world on a per capita basis.

Sweden is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe that I have visited. Nature is beautiful. But unfortunately I was appalled at how big Swedes are nationalists and racists. Ten years ago it was not like that, in the last two years nationalism has been on the rise. And I am very concerned about people who are not Swedes living and working in Sweden.

Just wanted to see my other country. Half Greek half Swedish. I was born there in 1969 in Gothenburg mainly because it was better than Greek hospitals at that time. I really miss the summers with my grandparents (even had a sailing lessons for optimist 1978. Love Greece but it's becoming unbearable to live here except if you go to a village.

I cannot believe how insanely accurate this video was. Most videos of sweden simply state the most well known facts and call it a day. Your video was as in depth as any well educated swedish person could make. Well done man!

Proud to be Swedish! We have such a gorgeous country that is really underappreciated in terms of tourism. A road/rail/bus/bicycle trip around Sweden is something more people should do. Just make sure to come in the Summer: )

One of the only things I know about my father's side of the family is that we're Swedish. And so I've always wanted to visit/move to Sweden. Such a beautiful country with such a rich history.

Sweden, I saw in the news that your birthrate is dropping. You have one of the better ones, so important to keep it up unless you want your country to die

Wat zijn jullie van plan daar. Douwe Egberts op de sanctie lijst plaatsen in zweden vanwege het steunen van oorlog? WELKE OORLOG MAFKLAPPERS!

I like this video, but the narration is way too loud. Study a subject called -integrated loudness- and your videos will sound pro.

Funny thing about the dialects in the southernmost parts: It is an East-Danish dialect that got Swedish grammar, spelling tacked on top.

Great summary! Just hope we can curb this last year's negative developments and get back to this level once again.

Was Abba's record company really so petty as to force you to re-up the video without using The Winner Takes It All?
