As an Indian I was always taught that J & K was fully Indian while no one told me that the real border is the LOC which was ofiicially recognized internationally late after independence. While what Kashmiris want is a big story in itself, it is a fact that what we are taught as -pakistan occupied kashmir- is actually recognized as pakistani by everyone, and no one, I repeat no one ever told me that there is a state called Azad J & K (again controlled by pakistan. I wish no one atught us history but only told us the facts.

As a Filipino, I would rather see my co-south east asian brethren claim parts of West Philippine Sea than taken all by themselves by China. China is bullying our fishermen even though we already won against them in the International Law. they keep using their 20th century Map when we uses our 18th century map w/c is the reason why we won the fight against territorial dispute.

Japan claims the name was accepted predating its occupation of Korea
If this is true then by all means it should be called Sea of Japan
People like to claim everything is just a matter of perspective, but. When someone says it's raining and someone says it's not, you just have to go out and check yourself.

Kashmir is still understandable on why it is disputed but China's claim to Arunachal Pradesh seems quite far fetched like calling a state that is still governed by India southern tibet. If things worked like that then everyone would be claiming stuff in all direction.

It should neither be called -East Sea- nor -Sea of Japan-. they should come together and come up with a more universal name that can work for both sides. The sea is apparently on Japan's west shoulder and it's also not exclusive to Japan! Grow up governments!

Herodotus the father of history, mentioned that it is the Arabian Gulf, but he did not mention the Persian Gulf. The Persians were settling in Central Asia, and they were not present in the Middle East until 800 BC. SO IT IS ( ARABIAN GULF )

As much as I hate the nationalists in Japan. -East Sea- wouldn't be the most internationally descriptive. Same applies to the official -North Sea- in Europe, please change that too.

If it is east sea for japan it would be west sea and it would he very weird moreover japan deserves its own sea so i think its sea of japan.

Persian gulf has been called like this for centuries. Just because some rich people fancy a gulf named after their ethnicity doesn't mean they should be able to.
