Cheap speaks on quality, inexpensive speaks on price. If something is cheap it means it's poorly made. If something is inexpensive it means it didn't cost much relative to some implied factor such as the potential purchasers budget, or comparable goods or services. It's a common mistake, in the U. S. we almost exclusively use the term cheap for both. We are robbing the word of it's power when we do that though, hence why I point it out to people.
These words have power? Yes.
When you tell a maker, builder, inventor, manufacturer, etc that their item is cheap they should take heavy offense motivating them to improve, but instead they just interpret you as saying they have low prices, and are happy motivating them to slowly raise prices to meet expectations.
Take bake the power.
Take bake the power of the word cheap so that you don't have to resort to phrases like low quality, hunk of junk, POS (not point of sale wink wink) etc. These phrases tent to make you seem lower class thus pore thus not the maker/manufacturers problem, thus they are not compelled to improve. for who. someone who couldn't pay them anyways? No you want to come off as higher class so they are motivated to improve for a chance at getting some of that cash you must obviously have.
Understand now?
See why 'inexpensive' has power? Because it gives 'cheap' back it's power. It also carries it own innate power too, but I imagine, if you got this far, you can reason that out on your own, if not explaining it would likely be a fruitless endeavor.

First thing, use standard glass not plexy glass, it's a lot cheaper and doesn't get foggy with time and can be easily cleaned, you don't need all of this epoxy resin to make this stable and working, and third you oversized the frame, there is a lot of space between the solar cells itself. so it actually can be cheaper than commercially available ones because they earn some money with it anyways. But great video! I really enjoyed it!

08: 25 I think you should try again with a really bodged version. Use salvaged materials to mount the panels, perhaps behind an old piece of glass in a scrap wood frame. No resin. Cost: 62 Euros with these prices.

This DIY is very useful if you can buy scrap panels and salvage working cells from it. The technique of making a full panel can be improved as well for longevity. All in all i loved this video. Thanks

once you seal it in resin you remove the only upside of diy solar panels which is the ability to replace a broken cell and save you buying another full panel.

Before watching I predict that the store bought one will be cheaper because the company probably pays a fraction for the materials due to buying in bulk.
