I was 17 years old when I got to Vietnam-1966 through 1969 (My mom had to sign a waiver for me, I grew up fast and learned a lot, good and bad. (I am now 73 and still learning. I was stationed on the USS Providence and also stationed in Country at a place called Monkey Mountain close to DaNang. I spent 3 tours of duty in and around Vietnam. 3 of my high school friends were killed in Vietnam, I was spared. I participated in the TET Offensive in Feb 1968, that was bad. Somewhere along the way I was exposed to Agent Orange (Nasty Stuff) I am now on disability for the effects of agent orange. When I was discharged and came home to the States we arrived in San Francisco, and there were a lot of protesters spitting on us and throwing rocks and eggs and called us baby killers. That was our welcome home. I tell you this to say to you, that whatever your position is or was on the Vietnam war, it was not the veteran who got us into the war, most of us went because we were patriots and loved our country. Blame the politicians, yes, but not the veteran. To all Vietnam Vets out there, you are not forgotten. As a previous combat Vet myself, I salute you my friend.

My heart goes out to everyone in the Vietnam War. My father Javier Ulloa Gonzalez was there 1967-1969. He ended up at Tripler Hospital for 1 year, wounded leg. His leg was at risk of amputation. Luckily, it didnt get amputated. he lived with a nail in his ankle and was able to walk, run. He shared his experiences at war with me. He said it was horrible to see his friends wounded, & pass away. He also saw vietmanese women crying along with hungry children. So much pain on both sides. My father received 2 purple hearts. My mother said he suffered from PTSD. My father passed away in 2000. My father was a respected loving husband, and grandfather. I miss him so much! RIP Papa. I will never forget all the stories he shared about vietnam. All respect to Military of all branches and that served at War & currently serving.

As President Eisenhower warned all Americans when he left office, he said, beware of the MIC. MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX. and he knew what he was talking about! He was a General (WWII) before he was our President! Big rich weapon companies love WAR and that's what Vietnam was! JFK tried to end the Vietnam war when only Special Forces were there! Then he was assassinated in 1963, which made LBJ President, and that really was a big mistake! LBJ escalated the Vietnam war very quick after JFK's assassination! JKF also closed down the Federal Reserve. With the stroke of a pen, Mr. Kennedy was on his way to putting the Federal Reserve Bank of New York out of business. If enough of these silver certificates were to come into circulation, they would have eliminated the demand for Federal Reserve notes.

Successful Vietnam draft dodger here and damn proud of it. When they tried to draft me in '70, I went to Canada and went snow skiing for 10 years just because I could. Whistler, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Sunshine Village, Norquay and others. I had way more fun than being in some foreign country killing off children with napalm. I Worked as a ski instructor and a chairlift mechanic, had several rock bands over the years and played in a bunch of bars. We had women, jobs, hash, money etc. Dodging the Vietnam draft was the single most intelligent thing I did in my whole entire life to this day. I'm just smarter than most people.

All of that could have been avoided if America had simply honored the agreement with Ho Che Minh from WWII. Fight the Japanese and we'll see to it that you govern you own country when the war is over. But Charles de Gaulle's wounded pride over the humiliation of 1940 had to be placated, so the French were allowed to reassert control over their colony. It would seem that betrayal didn't sit well with the Vietnamese, so they fought back. That betrayal was the biggest mistake Harry Truman made, and two decades of needless war later, Vietnam finally was finally able to make their own decisions.

This is a war America should have never been involved with thousands of Americans died. In a civil war of other countries this is military industry and corrupt activity against the human race understanding the Americans were wrong to enter another country and kill people. We must now defend the American lands and are lands under the United States Constitution we are in great danger. Of our military of our justice department and our corrupt government that now belongs to the United Nations. That will soon attack America take our weapons and our freedoms understanding the New world order

Me being only 37. My dad 75 was in a line in the army. His commanding officer wront numbers on their helmets. Either 1, 2 or 3. Ones went to Vietnam, 2 went to Germany and 3 went to someplace else I don't remember. My dad was I person away from Vietnam. When you see any veteran out there do what you can to show you appreciation. I always say thank you for your service. They deserve more than what they have right now. Great video and pics. They were graphic but they showed the truth

Hue Massacre was done BY the ARVN and US Army, ARVN couldnt indentify who was VC so as a result they fired at the civilians, not to mention US attempt to offense and gain control was to bombing the entire place. PAVN and the VCs had no reason to do so, their ammunition, firepowers were not for those who innocent, killing civilians only lower the trust of the people for the Communist and they were ordered to only attack at the designated targets.

Scusate l'ignoranza. Forse l'ho sognato. Ho visto ii viso di nixon di notte. Lo so lo so lo so che e' strano. Pero' io l'ho visto.

If you really look at the old stock footage and pictures of these guys not many actually look like real soldiers. Just regular young men that were victims of the draft. Shame on their government for using them as cannon fodder and throwing them into that environment with minimal training plus the lies they used to get them there in the first place.

It's always good to see American suffer lose. They must learn not to show their teeth everywhere there's resources and just focus on themselves. Hopefully There will come a day when they are no longer a superpower and they live like a normal country and the world more peaceful!

American soldiers are not good at fighting in the forest.
They faced hot and humid weather and heavy rain. There are mosquitoes and poisonous animals that interfere with sleep. The ground is full of mud and traps. It was a more painful battle than a battle in the desert.

The funniest thing is that the American government still acts like they were the Heroes in this war. In video games and movies you always see that the Americans are the heroes although everyone knows what crimes they committed in Vietnam. Disgusting.
