Also Abu Muslim means father of Muslim Muslim being either a Muslim man or a man named Muslim - both work. Abu does not mean son (of, but rather father (of.

The maker of this documentary is careful in his research, yet he chooses to falsely represent Palestine as Judea in his maps. Judea is a term not in use from the time of the Romans until the 20th century, therefore the historic maps shown in this video are incorrect. I think the author knows this. Why interject his personal politics in this subtle, yet significant manner?

Abu Muslim means Father of A Muslim meaning Father of a man called Muslim, but this is a Kunya (Nickname) which means he doesn't nessecary has to have a son called Muslim bcs that's how a Kunya works.
Btw. As a Muslim & I'm very confused by this man at 33: 41 That is not something Muslims do.

Love the doc, but it should be noted that the Arabic script is based on a cursive form of Aramaic, currently surviving in Syriac. Interestingly, the Uighur, Manchu, and Mongolian alphabets also come from the Syriac script, except, under Chinese influence, they were written from top to bottom.

Sigh. besides the horrible pronunciation of Arabic names, no attention to detail. At a cursory glance, without detailed fact checking. Abu means father (of, not son. Al-Masur was Abu Ja'far, not Jaffah. Abdurahman never claimed the Khilafah in Spain as you so carelessly claimed.

The Abbasid dynasty are not Arabs, even if they fabricated the lineage of the uncles of the Prophet Muhammad And even the old drawings prove that they are Turks / Persians, as well as their mentality of philosophy and love of knowledge, science and libraries

I hope the Age of Empires 4 devs are paying attention to this! It would be cool to play through a campaign covering the Abbasid revolution and the battle of Talas! Before going onto the construction of Baghdad and the campaigns of Harun al-Rashid.

Umayyads wasted 30 years fighting Indians in the Arab-Indian wars that lasted from 712-740.
Abbasids gained power in the meantime, gained support on basis of link to the Prophet, and rebelled.
End result: Goodbye Umayyads, welcome Abbasids.

Berbers/Amazigh were forced to pay a 80% taxe to the Ummayades and that made it clear to the people that there is no hope in the Caliphate. 20% share is reserved to the serves meaning the Muslim Arabs saw Amazigh people as serves.

Am I the only one who keeps hearing Coruscant instead of Khorasan?
Now I imagine Arabs with lightsabers.
Regardless of these quirks of perception, this was great, so informative and engaging!

I believe this to be true and it stands with all religions that at one point in time were manipulated and controlled, to keep the truth from those who believe in a higher power!
