The Benelux Union is a politico-economic union and formal international intergovernmental cooperation of three neighboring states in western Europe: Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The name is a portmanteau formed from joining the first few letters of each country's nameBelgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourgand was first used to name the customs agreement that initiated the union (signed in 1944. It is now used more generally to refer to the geographic, economic, and cultural grouping of the three countries.
The Benelux Union was the first. It's probably no coincidence the EU Treaty is signed in the Netherlands and the EU headquarters is in Belgium. Take it down and start again! Very insulting to everybody in the Benelux.

Nope, the story starts during ww2, in 1944 the governments in exile (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) founded Benelux, the first treaty which drafted freedom of trade and goods, and formed the first customs treaty. The ECSC was maybe drafted by France and Germany inspired by the Benelux, but not officially established without the Benelux. Hence the story starts with those little seemingly insignificant countries.

Greece sucks I feel like either our prime ministers are dumb or they want to destry Greece. Every time people vote for something the goverment does the opposite this happened with FYROM and the loans i think.
