It's a VERY big leap between pre-history and accident Greece, where the first written record on this is found. According to Hebrew records in the Torah, the first consistently intentional contact between animals and men may have been when Abel kept sheep. At that time, mankind was vegetarian. The sheep were for 'covering' and for sacrifice at the gate to the Garden of Eden. Continuity of records from there is somewhat difficult due to the global flood, which destroyed everything. Written texts start soon after however, going back to the Tower of Babel. I confess I have not looked specifically for mention of a pandemic, but your record from ancient Greece is potentially the earliest that's outside of the Vatican Archive.

Where is that animal? This is the first pandemic where we shot ourselves in the feet, creating it ourselves. And even more so because they were conducting the research in the corrupt and untrustworthy CCP-controlled China, who hid and lied about the nature of the illness for months, letting it spread to the rest of the world when it might have been able to otherwise stopped. At least other countries would have had a better chance to prepare if they had been given timely and honest information.

evolved into more sedentary society? does that mean hunter gather societies (e. g. indigenous Australians, tribes in Africa, South America etc) are _less_ evolved?
I don't think this is what the producers intended to imply, and this is another entertaining upload. But framing societies on a less evolved to more evolved scale isn't right. More evolved is relative to what you value in a society.
