Lost City of the Monkey God Ancient America Documentary mara: During the horror of Nicaraguas Communist assault and attempted genocide of the Miskito, a couple of my compadres and I obtained a load of vaccines and headed up, by vehicle and then on foot for the Miskito Villages from where we were in Tegucigalpa, Hondo.
There was a 90 percent death rate amongst the Miskito children due to preventable diseases. We vaccinated children until we ran out of vaccines.
I am glad to know that there are at least 22k Miskito today. Some of the children I met on that long hike survived, I am thinking. Makes me glad that their history is being recognized and restored.

Thanks for all these excellent documentaries. Nice background music. It would be great to see more on the mysterious ancient civilizations like the Olmecs, Teotihucans, Israelites/Hebrews, the Dannites as a people not necessarily a civilization, etc. with possible connections to Dan/Denmark. Is it a coincidence a place in Turkey uses the word Danisman? The Saxons originated from where? How do we understand the last few thousand years of European history in light of migrations into central and western Europe from Eurasia and the Mediterranean thousands of years ago in ancient times?

I would love to see you do a video on the native American moundbuilder culture in North America. You talked a bit about how there were areas that used mounds in this video. But there is a vast culture up here in North America of moundbuilders. I'm in Ohio and grew up near Amazing locations, would be happy to help

Honduran over here Pete, amazing documentary about Ciudad Blanca, now there's an archeological lab you can visit at the edge of the jungle with a bunch of artifacts found there. The deforestation of La Mosquitia and the Rio Platano reserve is a disgrace allowed by our authorities.

This guy is just another monkey see monkey do.
He is blatantly following the history lies he is No more than a repeater repeater. He is well travelled but he only knows what the books want him to know.
No offence its not his fault or ours.

Ya at one time I thought Id like to be an archeologist, but then I realized how painstakingly slow it was to discover something, anything at all, so its better just to see what theyve found. And actually do other things that are lots more fun.

America is ONE CONTINENT. AMERICAS DOESNT EXIST!
North America is a subdivision, not a continent or country. America is one whole continent.
The Olympics Games have 5 rings as a symbol since they represent the 5 Continents of the world.

I love just listening to how much we know, and how much there is left that we don't. The questions that continue to be asked are the ones that get answered the soonest, so someday maybe we'll be able to fully explore and excavate the sites

Id hate to be in an airplane that crashed into this jungle, with so many dangerous things that can kill me.
Its so wrong for rich people to buy all these archeological things so no one else can see them.

There is a new paper cut out. In one monkey god is shown trying to open its chest and something is there inside.
In Hindu religion we have Hanumanji. Such discription is there in our religion.

Am I the only one who has ever wondered what the world would look like in the native peoples of America were the ones who had the gems and the Europeans died from diseases.

Christopher Columbus was a awful man. If not him Im surely would have been someone else. Just wish it would have been different for all those lost people. Makes me cry

According to Archaeologist & Criminology Associate Professor at Maastricht University who studies artifact smuggling, this area has pretty much already been looted

I love when it said the priest wasn't interested in gold but rather the hearts of the indigenous. As a direct descendent of indigenous roots I think he was full of crap.
reply

Those priests and Spaniards killed those groups not by violence but disease. Then hundreds of years later more came to find the city of gold but the forest took over

You produce a lot of good stuff but the political insertions are no needed. You cast shade on everything you do by injecting needless crap.

Thank you Pete Kelly for researching, writing, narrated and produced the fascinating journey to discover the Lost City of the Monkey God.

Unknown by white Europeans? Lost by who? what a joke. and the accent does nothing to give veracity in fact makes it somewhat comical.
